Danny Sullivan is a legendary race car driver who is best known for his 360-degree spin on lap 120 of the 1985 Indianapolis 500. He was attempting to pass Mario Andretti and after recovering from the spin, he led the last 61 laps to become the 69th winner of the Indy 500 and the moniker “Spin to Win.” Danny is also known for being one of the first “big” personalities in motorsports by using his fame to help promote his sponsors and his likeness through appearances on late-night talk shows, in movies and other forms of media. Danny’s promotional prowess was good and NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Jeff Gordon says he emulated him throughout his racing career. Danny was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2012 and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame in 2022. He remains active as a TV personality, producer, and entrepreneur, staying involved in many forms of racing and business. Randy Leffingwell is an author, writer, and photographer who has spent over five decades in the automotive sector. He worked for the Kansas City Star and then in Chicago with the Sun-Times. His passion for automobiles led him to AutoWeek magazine and the L.A. Times. He’s written many articles for Pete Stout’s 000 magazine due to his vast knowledge of the Porsche marque and Randy has authored 65 books. Photography is a significant part of his life to this day. Today he is here to share his book Against All the Others: Porsche’s Racing History, Volume 1-1968, from David Bull Publishers. The book meticulously details technical developments, the nuances of each racing venue, and offers race-by-race commentary. Stacey Mayfield is the Director for the Haas Moto Museum. The Texas-based motorcycle museum is named after its founder, Bobby Haas. Bobby and Stacey, working side-by-side, curated one of the world’s most thoughtfully assembled collection of motorcycles, including an unparalleled custom collection including acquisitions and commissioned bikes from around the globe. Following the death of Bobby Haas, she worked to keep this treasure trove of motorcycle history together and is proud to be reopening the Haas Moto Museum in a new, larger location in North Dallas. Art Garner is an award-winning author and finalist for the prestigious PEN/ESPN award for literary sports writing for his bestselling book, Black Noon, The Year They Stopped the Indy 500. For over 40 years he worked for Ford, Toyota, Lexus, and Honda, before retiring in 2014 to finish that first book. That book is about the tragic 1964 race that was stopped by a fiery accident on the second lap resulting in the deaths of drivers Eddie Sachs and Dave MacDonald. He also co-wrote a book titled Indy 500 Memories and another, Hood to Coast Memories, about the relay running race from Mt. Hood to the coast of Oregon. Art is the author of the new biography, A.J. Foyt, Survivor, Champion, Legend, that has just been released by Octane Press. Mercedes and Andy Lilienthal are a wife and husband team who competed with the Superlative Adventure Club in the 2024 Baltic Sea Circle driving the new Volkswagen ID Buzz. They drove the sixteen-day, 7,500 kilometer, 4,771 miles journey as the first team to compete in an EV that was outside of the EU and they were the only EV team this year. The event is the northernmost rally in the world covering nine countries around the Baltic Sea. Their journey included wild camping and daily rally challenges without the use of GPS using only paper maps. They raised money for the Jessi Combs Foundation as their charity of choice You’ll remember these two from show #2462 last January when they competed in the 2024 Alcan 5000 Rally driving the new INEOS Grenadier. |

Kevin McCauley is a photographer and videographer based in Houston, Texas. His photography has been featured in over a dozen publications, and he’s shot for automakers, auction houses, retailers, and collectors. Kevin spent the early part of his career in advertising as a graphic designer. He picked up the camera to shoot portfolio images of design work, but almost immediately began pointing the lens towards his lifelong passion, automotive subjects. He has spent more than a decade capturing the machines that move us. His short-form documentary The Gray Fox: An Original 1967 Porsche 912 was chosen as the Video of the Year 2021 by Bring-a-Trailer and was nominated for the 2022 International Motor Film Awards. Collin Hungate started Sport Driving Motors in 2023. He rents Porsches for drivers to use at HPDE events and for recreational lapping programs. Collin, his father, and brother have enjoyed driving at race tracks for years, in all kinds of different Porsche models including base 911s to GT3s and everything in between. Today, Collin has a fleet of 5 Porsches to rent at his home track, Pacific Raceways, in the Pacific Northwest. He has his sights set on expanding to other tracks starting next year. Growing up in the Tacoma, Washington area, volunteering in the community and supporting local businesses are important and he plans to stay put here and focus on family, faith, and growing his business.

Neil Smith, like many kids, got his love of motorsport from his father. His passion for the sport was fueled by weekends spectating at English race tracks and watching the Formula 1 on the TV. But it was sports car racing that really caught his imagination, initially with Group C and later, after a move to the USA, with IMSA. Trips to the Le Mans 24 Hours added to the experience, and in the 2000s his hobby of writing a blog about racing turned into actual reporting on the American Le Mans Series and Grand Am for the predecessor of SportsCar365.com. After building a career in the tech industry, Neil returned to writing in 2018, beginning work on his debut book titled On The Prowl: The Definitive History of the Walkinshaw Jaguar Sports Car Team uncovering the fascinating stories, anecdotes, and intrigue from those who were there. His book is published by our friends at David Bull Publishing. |

Michael Dale was the President of Jaguar North America from 1990 until 2000. He was responsible for British Leyland’s and Jaguar North America’s racing activities, which involved joining forces with Group 44 to achieve numerous SCCA National Championships and bringing Jaguar back to its racing roots at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Mike will be part of a panel on this year’s Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance event discussing the racing and production history of Jaguar, the featured marque, on Sunday June 23 at the concours. The concours and discussion will take place at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. |

Torsten Gross is a maverick in every sense of the word. Yuliia Lobodiuchenko is a transportation illustrator, an artist, and designer with experience in exterior automotive design, car design history, and cultural research. She has long held a fascination for the automotive industry and discovered that passion when, at 16, she joined the Faculty Industrial Design at the Kyiv State Academy of Decorative Arts and Design in Ukraine. In 2017 Yullia earned a scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Car Design at the SPD Scuola Politecnica de Design in Milan, Italy. During her studies she collaborated with manufacturers including Lamborghini, Audi, and Volkswagen. After graduating she joined the exterior design team at JAC Italy Design Center. Today her focus is on illustration and research of various car production models. Yullia produced a 10-hour video course on the history of automotive design for Projector Institute, a Ukrainian educational institution. Today she runs a YouTube channel about the history of cars titled Transportii Istorii which translates to Transportation Stories. |

She was also a narrow selection of artists rendering for Porsche in Zuffenhausen. Chris Story is a motorsports photographer who focuses on drag racing. He was born in Durango, Colorado and his family moved a lot when Chris was a kid. He joined the Army at 17 to pursue a career in IT and later worked on cars. Eventually Chris felt like there was more in life that he wanted to do and began chasing his passion in photography, something he's done for over 10 years. For the past 3 years it has been his profession. He shoots drag racing and more specifically Drag and Drive events. Section presents several thousand profiles of racing drivers. His first book, Richie Ginther: Motor Racing’s Free Thinker, was published to universal praise in 2020. This book won the Royal Automobile Club Motoring Book of the Year Award. His second biography, Mike Spence: Out of the Shadows, he turned his attention to the history of the team rather than the man. His newest book is a comprehensive history of the Tyrrell team titled Tyrrell: The Story of the Tyrrell Racing Organisation. The foreword is by Sir Jackie Stewart who drove for Tyrrell for many years, and it is published by EVRO. |

John Hames is a television producer and actor who created the series titled American Car Prospector, a show he started in 2013, that aired on Discovery Channel. His early career was in the financial sector as a stockbroker. He was also a land developer however his passion and enthusiasm for cars and acting took him down a new road. John and his team are building a new TV series that will be available mid 2024. The show will feature episodes exploring unique and exciting land, sea, and air transportation. Imagineer Bob Gurr has always been a man on the move. And for nearly 40 years, he’s helped move many a happy Disney theme park guests aboard vehicles and ride conveyances of his own design. As he has often quipped, “If it moves on wheels at Disneyland, I probably designed it.” He developed more than 100 designs for Disneyland from Autopia to the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Bob’s authored books, raced cars, flown airplanes, and had a hand in a multitude of automotive designs including cars, trains, trams, monorail trains, the list goes on and on and on. In 1999, Bob was honored with the Themed Entertainment Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award (THEA). The Walt Disney Company honored him in 2004 as a Disney Legend, again honored in 2008 with a Disneyland Window on Main Street. |

Frank Loughridge has been a hot rod and custom car enthusiast since he was a small boy. His interest was cemented when his father took him to a Darryl Starbird Rod and Custom show in the 1980s. Upon Meeting his friend Chris the two began to revive the South Gate Gaters, a club in which Chris’ father and cousin had been involved in during the 1940s. Chris still has the “Pyle Special” which was one of the original Hot rods of the club. Today, Frank and the Gaters SCTA are dedicated to building and growing the hot rod spirit by producing period hot rods and hosting events including the “Bias Ply Drags” December 9, at the newly minted Street Legal Dragway in Perris Ca. |

Ian Flux, better known as Fluxie, is one of the most charismatic drivers to have taken to the race track and his story is one of perseverance against the odds. Geoff Weiner is a collector of Lalique mascots that were created by the great French glass designer and artisan René Lalique. During the inter-war period from 1925 until 1931 the Lalique factory catalogued 28 various depictions of animals, fish, birds, insects, and his female figures. Geoff has been interested in collecting since he was a boy and started with toy soldiers and then moving into militaria and other antiques and collectibles. He is the author of Unique Lalique Mascots Volumes 1 and 2 and has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows and is an adviser on the values of automobilia. He has the privilege of being the Honorable General Secretary of The Lalique Mascot Collector’s Club and he owns the Lalique Gallery located in The White Lion Garage in Brighton, Sussex, England. |
