Burt “BS” Levy is known as the world’s fastest novelist. He’s been racing and writing about racing for more than a half a century. He’s won something like 100 amateur and vintage races and 8 season championships in a truly incredible variety of cars. Burt’s served as a track-driving instructor for clubs and race-sanctioned bodies and has been a special event and banquet speaker numerous times. No doubt, if you are a true automotive enthusiast your library shelf has at least one of Burt’s books on it but more likely, like mine, it has many. Burt’s best known for his historically accurate and utterly hilarious The Last Open Road series of motorsports novels plus a radio-play, period correct version featuring many famous voices, including yours truly. Today Burt will share his lates book titled A Lifelong Lotus Love Affair. |

George Levy is the President of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, the former editor of Autoweek magazine, and an author. He has written multiple books on motorsports, including 2016’s Can-Am 50th Anniversary, a project on which he worked with the late and deeply missed photographer Pete Biro, who is a past Cars Yeah guest. His last book, F1 Mavericks: The Men and Machines that Revolutionized Formula 1 Racing is a sweeping account of the most innovative and glamorous period in Formula One racing history, 1958 through 1982. Philipp Henke is a Founder and Owner of RPM Depot, the one-stop-shop for Mercedes 190E parts based in Germany. He has been a Mercedes enthusiast from an early age, developing a special interest in the W201 chassis with its 190E 16 valve models which were the base of Mercedes iconic DTM entries in the 80s and 90s. After getting in touch with old Mercedes as a child through his granddad, he later took up the classic car hobby himself which through the years evolved into launching a store focused on helping others with their classic Mercedes projects. Mercedes and Andy Lilienthal are a wife and husband team who competed with the Superlative Adventure Club in the 2024 Baltic Sea Circle driving the new Volkswagen ID Buzz. They drove the sixteen-day, 7,500 kilometer, 4,771 miles journey as the first team to compete in an EV that was outside of the EU and they were the only EV team this year. The event is the northernmost rally in the world covering nine countries around the Baltic Sea. Their journey included wild camping and daily rally challenges without the use of GPS using only paper maps. They raised money for the Jessi Combs Foundation as their charity of choice You’ll remember these two from show #2462 last January when they competed in the 2024 Alcan 5000 Rally driving the new INEOS Grenadier. |

Phillip grew up in his family’s car and truck dealerships, and having survived bracket racing a 1965 Pontiac GTO, he went on to spend more than 25 years in some of the best-known automotive, industrial, consumer durables, distribution, and banking businesses in the world. Phillip also acts as a Senior Advisor to Stout Risius Ross and Rothschild & Co, where he brings operational expertise to their investment banking businesses. Previously he was the Chief Commercial Officer in Key Markets at Pirelli in Milan, Italy working in their commercial truck tire business. Phillip spent 11 years working for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Before that, he held executive roles with Genuine Parts Company (NAPA) and Snap-On, Inc. Kevin McCauley is a photographer and videographer based in Houston, Texas. His photography has been featured in over a dozen publications, and he’s shot for automakers, auction houses, retailers, and collectors. Kevin spent the early part of his career in advertising as a graphic designer. He picked up the camera to shoot portfolio images of design work, but almost immediately began pointing the lens towards his lifelong passion, automotive subjects. He has spent more than a decade capturing the machines that move us. His short-form documentary The Gray Fox: An Original 1967 Porsche 912 was chosen as the Video of the Year 2021 by Bring-a-Trailer and was nominated for the 2022 International Motor Film Awards. Kevin has now created his first book titled Waiting for the Sun to Come Down, published by Carrara Media. His book is filled with more than 75 different cars and over 100 photographs, captured in dramatic light and shadows, all in a hardcover 10 x 10 format. |

Collin Hungate started Sport Driving Motors in 2023. He rents Porsches for drivers to use at HPDE events and for recreational lapping programs. Collin, his father, and brother have enjoyed driving at race tracks for years, in all kinds of different Porsche models including base 911s to GT3s and everything in between. Today, Collin has a fleet of 5 Porsches to rent at his home track, Pacific Raceways, in the Pacific Northwest. He has his sights set on expanding to other tracks starting next year. Growing up in the Tacoma, Washington area, volunteering in the community and supporting local businesses are important and he plans to stay put here and focus on family, faith, and growing his business.

Neil Smith, like many kids, got his love of motorsport from his father. His passion for the sport was fueled by weekends spectating at English race tracks and watching the Formula 1 on the TV. But it was sports car racing that really caught his imagination, initially with Group C and later, after a move to the USA, with IMSA. Trips to the Le Mans 24 Hours added to the experience, and in the 2000s his hobby of writing a blog about racing turned into actual reporting on the American Le Mans Series and Grand Am for the predecessor of SportsCar365.com. After building a career in the tech industry, Neil returned to writing in 2018, beginning work on his debut book titled On The Prowl: The Definitive History of the Walkinshaw Jaguar Sports Car Team uncovering the fascinating stories, anecdotes, and intrigue from those who were there. His book is published by our friends at David Bull Publishing. |

Michael Dale was the President of Jaguar North America from 1990 until 2000. He was responsible for British Leyland’s and Jaguar North America’s racing activities, which involved joining forces with Group 44 to achieve numerous SCCA National Championships and bringing Jaguar back to its racing roots at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Mike will be part of a panel on this year’s Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance event discussing the racing and production history of Jaguar, the featured marque, on Sunday June 23 at the concours. The concours and discussion will take place at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. |

Torsten Gross is a maverick in every sense of the word. Not happy with the status quo, mixed with his entrepreneurial drive, he enjoys the challenge of the word “no.” As a C6 Quadriplegic since the age of 15, he has heard that word often, yet still finds his way to “yes.” This drive has led him to become the world's only Quadriplegic who is a Rescue Scuba Diver, completing 12 marathons in 12 months and into his latest adventure as a race car driver. In 2023, Torsten competed in the International GT, HSR and World Racing League races in his hand-controlled Porsche 981 Cayman. Alongside his adrenaline-seeking events, Torsten has had a successful marketing career as a strategist. He currently works as the Chief Marketing Officer of MateriaMX. He is also the co-founder of Just Hands Foundation, a charity that helps hand-control drivers enter the world of performance driving. |

He is a custom car builder and hot rod culture broker who has been building cars since 1984 and has built multiple vehicles that have been featured in numerous magazines, ranging from Volkswagen to Hot Rods. Mark Hotchkis is a lifelong car and racing enthusiast whose family are legends in those industries. His father John was a partner in a SoCal Porsche/Audi dealership in the 80s and his brother John Jr. launched a performance suspicion company in the 90s. The family raced Porsches from the late 60s through the early 90s including at Le Mans, Daytona, Sebring and more. Mark developed the H-Sport brand with Hotchkis, created enthusiast forums, sales and advertising including Rennlist, 6 Speedlonline, Audiworld, and LS1 Tech. Mark raced in Formula Ford to Indy Lights and won a SCCA National Championship in a ’73 Porsche 914-4 at Mid-Ohio. He’s worked with Pelican Parts and for the past 7 years works with Porsche at their Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles. Rich has enjoyed being a member of the Organizing Committee ever since. He was selected to the Board of Directors and is now the VP of the World Acrobatic Society and in 2023 received their prestigious “Golden Achievement Award.” |

Yuliia Lobodiuchenko is a transportation illustrator, an artist, and designer with experience in exterior automotive design, car design history, and cultural research. She has long held a fascination for the automotive industry and discovered that passion when, at 16, she joined the Faculty Industrial Design at the Kyiv State Academy of Decorative Arts and Design in Ukraine. In 2017 Yullia earned a scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Car Design at the SPD Scuola Politecnica de Design in Milan, Italy. During her studies she collaborated with manufacturers including Lamborghini, Audi, and Volkswagen. After graduating she joined the exterior design team at JAC Italy Design Center. Today her focus is on illustration and research of various car production models. Yullia produced a 10-hour video course on the history of automotive design for Projector Institute, a Ukrainian educational institution. Today she runs a YouTube channel about the history of cars titled Transportii Istorii which translates to Transportation Stories. |

Gaines in Denver Colorado as their Business Development Director for V’s family of racing companies including: Winberg Crankshafts, GRP Connection Rods, Gibtec Pistons, Fineline Graphics, and Black Diamond Media Productions. Mark has been a race car guy since high school when I worked at Bandimere Performance. They are the same Bandimere as the speedway and they used to own 3 speed shops in Denver as well. He was a counter guy at their big store on Alameda. Raced my first car which was a 63 1/2 Falcon Sprint, then shared a super comp dragster, and worked with Joe Shalkowski on his NHRA B-ED we ran in Comp. After that Mark announced at Bandimere Speedway for almost 9 years which lead to announcing opportunities at KRP and a few other tracks. |

Nigel Matthews is the Chief Judge and on the Selection Committee for the annual La Jolla Concours d’Elegance. Originally from Oxfordshire, England, he has lived in Vancouver, British Columbia for 50 years where he worked as a red seal designated licensed automotive technician and member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, repairing, and restoring Rolls-Royce and Ferrari automobiles. The past 29 years Nigel has been in the classic and exotic car insurance industry and currently serves as Global Brand Ambassador for Hagerty. Since 2005 Nigel has judged most of the major concours events around the globe and has written classic car columns in the Canadian press and numerous automotive magazines. In 2015 Nigel was one of the founding members of ICJAG (International Chief Judge Advisory Group) and took over from Ed Gilbertson, as the Chairman in 2020. |

Michael May is a performer and filmmaker, and is best known for hosting, creating, and executive producing the docuseries AUTO/BIOGRAPHY and its spinoff AUTO/BIOGRAPHY: COLD CASES for Motor Trend TV. He previously ran the media company Fun Size Horror where he produced hundreds of hours of digital content, feature films, and tv shows. Michael recently started his own production company, Convergent Content, where he's been actively developing content for TV, film, and podcasts. Currently he's directing a feature film that will come out later this year, and hosts the automotive themed podcast, "Fuel for the Future" for America's Automotive Trust which you can find on every podcast platform. |

Lee Raskin is an author and co-author of acclaimed motorsports biographies and has been involved in motorsports for over four decades. He is best known as an early Porsche historian and authority on James Dean’s brief but spectacular racing career driving Porsches. He often consults with authors, video producers, documentaries, webcasts, podcasts, interviews, and television shows regarding James Dean’s motorsports activities, and the mysterious disappearance of his “Little Bastard” Porsche 550 Spyder following his crash and death in 1955. Brendan Garst is a Colorado car enthusiast, old-car apologist, and editor-in-chief of SHIFT Colorado magazine, a digital publication built as a volunteer effort by himself and other like-minded enthusiasts from the Colorado Cars and Coffee organization. The project started in 2022, and is now in its seventh quarterly issue, and he enjoys co-leading one of the best groups of amateur car journalists around. He’s a Brendan is a rabid Audi enthusiast, especially for their older five-cylinder cars. Brendan spends his time working on the magazine, cars, and his accounting skills at his day job. His favorite car event is the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Brought to you by Gran Turismo, which he volunteers as pit crew for his friends’ teams each year. |

Colin Garrett is a professional race car driver from South Boston, Virginia, and at just 23 he defies the conventional path to motorsports success. Starting at 15, Colin rapidly ascended, becoming a Track Champion at 17. His diverse racing career spans NASCAR's Xfinity and Truck Series, SRO TC America, and Pirelli GT4 America. Beyond accolades, Garrett is a trailblazer for social impact. Notably, he pioneered crowdfunded Xfinity Series cars for military nonprofits, financed stem cell treatments for a veteran, and unveiled the first Braille paint scheme with a blind-owned sponsor. In 2023, he secured the SRO TC America TCX class championship, further solidifying his disruptive legacy in motorsports. Most recently, Colin was named the 12th top driver globally for BMW. |

Anita Lewis is a fine artist whose art portrays the speed and motion of racecars on the track. She received her education in the arts studying abstract art, rendering illustrations, drafting, and interior design. In the early 80s she migrated to Germany, integrating into the European lifestyle and began rendering BMW car parts and painting racecars for German friends. She was also a narrow selection of artists rendering for Porsche in Zuffenhausen. Today you’ll find her paintings at a wide variety of automotive events including Barrett Jackson, Velocity International and at the Signature Galleries in Las Vegas. |

Chris Story is a motorsports photographer who focuses on drag racing. He was born in Durango, Colorado and his family moved a lot when Chris was a kid. He joined the Army at 17 to pursue a career in IT and later worked on cars. Eventually Chris felt like there was more in life that he wanted to do and began chasing his passion in photography, something he's done for over 10 years. For the past 3 years it has been his profession. He shoots drag racing and more specifically Drag and Drive events. Chris’s enjoyment comes from covering and documenting history, capturing moments for the drivers and people so that their experiences can be captured for a lifetime. |

Richard Jenkins has been involved in motor racing research for over 20 years. The first outlet for his work was the website oldracingcars.com, where his “Where Are They Now? Section presents several thousand profiles of racing drivers. His first book, Richie Ginther: Motor Racing’s Free Thinker, was published to universal praise in 2020. This book won the Royal Automobile Club Motoring Book of the Year Award. His second biography, Mike Spence: Out of the Shadows, he turned his attention to the history of the team rather than the man. His newest book is a comprehensive history of the Tyrrell team titled Tyrrell: The Story of the Tyrrell Racing Organisation. The foreword is by Sir Jackie Stewart who drove for Tyrrell for many years, and it is published by EVRO. |
