At 22 he became a Federal Agent with the Department of Homeland Security. After becoming a field agent, Ethan began assisting the agency in public relations at the local government level, progressing through state and eventually onto the national and international stages. After 13 years of service Ethan transitioned to his passion, the automotive industry, where he found RM Sotheby’s. Rich Kenney is the Co-Founder of AeroED Group whose motto is Flight: Inspiration for Learning”. He has been the FlyBy Chair for the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance since 2013 when he got a ride over the event in a Stearman biplane, previously owned by Steve McQueen. Rich has enjoyed being a member of the Organizing Committee ever since. He was selected to the Board of Directors and is now the VP of the World Acrobatic Society and in 2023 received their prestigious “Golden Achievement Award.”

Yuliia Lobodiuchenko is a transportation illustrator, an artist, and designer with experience in exterior automotive design, car design history, and cultural research. She has long held a fascination for the automotive industry and discovered that passion when, at 16, she joined the Faculty Industrial Design at the Kyiv State Academy of Decorative Arts and Design in Ukraine. In 2017 Yullia earned a scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Car Design at the SPD Scuola Politecnica de Design in Milan, Italy. During her studies she collaborated with manufacturers including Lamborghini, Audi, and Volkswagen. After graduating she joined the exterior design team at JAC Italy Design Center. Today her focus is on illustration and research of various car production models. Yullia produced a 10-hour video course on the history of automotive design for Projector Institute, a Ukrainian educational institution. Today she runs a YouTube channel about the history of cars titled Transportii Istorii which translates to Transportation Stories.

Mark Beatty is Brand/Marketing Director for Red Line Synthetic Oil. His career includes time at V. Gaines in Denver Colorado as their Business Development Director for V’s family of racing companies including: Winberg Crankshafts, GRP Connection Rods, Gibtec Pistons, Fineline Graphics, and Black Diamond Media Productions. Mark has been a race car guy since high school when I worked at Bandimere Performance. They are the same Bandimere as the speedway and they used to own 3 speed shops in Denver as well. He was a counter guy at their big store on Alameda. Raced my first car which was a 63 1/2 Falcon Sprint, then shared a super comp dragster, and worked with Joe Shalkowski on his NHRA B-ED we ran in Comp. After that Mark announced at Bandimere Speedway for almost 9 years which lead to announcing opportunities at KRP and a few other tracks.

Alan Taylor is the Awards Co-Chair, designer, and maker of this year’s La Jolla Concours d’Elegance awards. He’s retired from a 55 plus year career and business he built, the Alan Taylor Company. Their reputation for creating award winning automotive masterpieces with a focus on details and perfection is known worldwide. You’ve seen his work on concours lawns from Pebble Beach to Amelia Island. His motto: The impossible we do immediately. Miracles take a little longer. Alan is also a member of The Fédération International des Véhicules Anciens known as FIVA.

Nigel Matthews is the Chief Judge and on the Selection Committee for the annual La Jolla Concours d’Elegance. Originally from Oxfordshire, England, he has lived in Vancouver, British Columbia for 50 years where he worked as a red seal designated licensed automotive technician and member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, repairing, and restoring Rolls-Royce and Ferrari automobiles. The past 29 years Nigel has been in the classic and exotic car insurance industry and currently serves as Global Brand Ambassador for Hagerty. Since 2005 Nigel has judged most of the major concours events around the globe and has written classic car columns in the Canadian press and numerous automotive magazines. In 2015 Nigel was one of the founding members of ICJAG (International Chief Judge Advisory Group) and took over from Ed Gilbertson, as the Chairman in 2020.

Michael May is a performer and filmmaker, and is best known for hosting, creating, and executive producing the docuseries AUTO/BIOGRAPHY and its spinoff AUTO/BIOGRAPHY: COLD CASES for Motor Trend TV. He previously ran the media company Fun Size Horror where he produced hundreds of hours of digital content, feature films, and tv shows. Michael recently started his own production company, Convergent Content, where he's been actively developing content for TV, film, and podcasts. Currently he's directing a feature film that will come out later this year, and hosts the automotive themed podcast, "Fuel for the Future" for America's Automotive Trust which you can find on every podcast platform.

He’s been an automotive journalist for 20 years, he has contributed to a variety of publications, including The New York Times, Esquire, and Car and Driver. As TV and video presenter Sam’s talents have been tapped by clients as diverse as NBC Sports and classic-car insurance provider Hagerty. His career highlights include track-testing Fernando Alonso’s Formula 1 McLaren, flying to Japan for a deep dive into that land’s offbeat Dodge-van “Dajiban” culture, and driving to the Arctic Circle in a Jeep with no doors because it sounded like fun. He is best known as an early Porsche historian and authority on James Dean’s brief but spectacular racing career driving Porsches. Brendan Garst is a Colorado car enthusiast, old-car apologist, and editor-in-chief of SHIFT Colorado magazine, a digital publication built as a volunteer effort by himself and other like-minded enthusiasts from the Colorado Cars and Coffee organization. The project started in 2022, and is now in its seventh quarterly issue, and he enjoys co-leading one of the best groups of amateur car journalists around. He’s a Brendan is a rabid Audi enthusiast, especially for their older five-cylinder cars. Brendan spends his time working on the magazine, cars, and his accounting skills at his day job. Mercedes and Andy Lilienthal are a wife and husband team who are competing in the 2024 Alcan 5000 Rally driving the new INEOS Grenadier. They will tackle a ten-day, 5,000 miles journey of blisteringly cold temps, navigating their way through treacherous conditions, abundantly large wildlife, and fighting off sleep deprivation. Their INEOS Grenadier is from INEOS Automotive, a new automaker. This 4x4 workhorse is a powerhouse of new, innovation. It’s a recently developed vehicle designed to fulfill a marketplace gap after Jaguar Land Rover (now JLR) stopped production on its famed boxy Defender in 2016 and went after the luxury and technology segment.

Colin Garrett is a professional race car driver from South Boston, Virginia, and at just 23 he defies the conventional path to motorsports success. Starting at 15, Colin rapidly ascended, becoming a Track Champion at 17. His diverse racing career spans NASCAR's Xfinity and Truck Series, SRO TC America, and Pirelli GT4 America. Beyond accolades, Garrett is a trailblazer for social impact. Notably, he pioneered crowdfunded Xfinity Series cars for military nonprofits, financed stem cell treatments for a veteran, and unveiled the first Braille paint scheme with a blind-owned sponsor. In 2023, he secured the SRO TC America TCX class championship, further solidifying his disruptive legacy in motorsports. Most recently, Colin was named the 12th top driver globally for BMW.

Anita Lewis is a fine artist whose art portrays the speed and motion of racecars on the track. She received her education in the arts studying abstract art, rendering illustrations, drafting, and interior design. In the early 80s she migrated to Germany, integrating into the European lifestyle and began rendering BMW car parts and painting racecars for German friends. She was also a narrow selection of artists rendering for Porsche in Zuffenhausen. Today you’ll find her paintings at a wide variety of automotive events including Barrett Jackson, Velocity International and at the Signature Galleries in Las Vegas.

Chris Story is a motorsports photographer who focuses on drag racing. He was born in Durango, Colorado and his family moved a lot when Chris was a kid. He joined the Army at 17 to pursue a career in IT and later worked on cars. Eventually Chris felt like there was more in life that he wanted to do and began chasing his passion in photography, something he's done for over 10 years. For the past 3 years it has been his profession. He shoots drag racing and more specifically Drag and Drive events. Chris’s enjoyment comes from covering and documenting history, capturing moments for the drivers and people so that their experiences can be captured for a lifetime.

Richard Jenkins has been involved in motor racing research for over 20 years. The first outlet for his work was the website oldracingcars.com, where his “Where Are They Now? Section presents several thousand profiles of racing drivers. His first book, Richie Ginther: Motor Racing’s Free Thinker, was published to universal praise in 2020. This book won the Royal Automobile Club Motoring Book of the Year Award. His second biography, Mike Spence: Out of the Shadows, he turned his attention to the history of the team rather than the man. His newest book is a comprehensive history of the Tyrrell team titled Tyrrell: The Story of the Tyrrell Racing Organisation. The foreword is by Sir Jackie Stewart who drove for Tyrrell for many years, and it is published by EVRO.

John Hames is a television producer and actor who created the series titled American Car Prospector, a show he started in 2013, that aired on Discovery Channel. His early career was in the financial sector as a stockbroker. He was also a land developer however his passion and enthusiasm for cars and acting took him down a new road. Imagineer Bob Gurr has always been a man on the move. And for nearly 40 years, he’s helped move many a happy Disney theme park guests aboard vehicles and ride conveyances of his own design. As he has often quipped, “If it moves on wheels at Disneyland, I probably designed it.” He developed more than 100 designs for Disneyland from Autopia to the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Bob’s authored books, raced cars, flown airplanes, and had a hand in a multitude of automotive designs including cars, trains, trams, monorail trains, the list goes on and on and on. In 1999, Bob was honored with the Themed Entertainment Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award (THEA). The Walt Disney Company honored him in 2004 as a Disney Legend, again honored in 2008 with a Disneyland Window on Main Street.

Frank Loughridge has been a hot rod and custom car enthusiast since he was a small boy. His interest was cemented when his father took him to a Darryl Starbird Rod and Custom show in the 1980s. Upon Meeting his friend Chris the two began to revive the South Gate Gaters, a club in which Chris’ father and cousin had been involved in during the 1940s. Chris still has the “Pyle Special” which was one of the original Hot rods of the club. Geoff Weiner is a collector of Lalique mascots that were created by the great French glass designer and artisan René Lalique. During the inter-war period from 1925 until 1931 the Lalique factory catalogued 28 various depictions of animals, fish, birds, insects, and his female figures. Geoff has been interested in collecting since he was a boy and started with toy soldiers and then moving into militaria and other antiques and collectibles. James is a mentally tough, rising star who is from Miami, Florida and currently living in Brescia, Italy competing in the F4 Italian Championship and driving for PHM Racing. He started in karting winning multiple U.S. National Championships prior to moving to Europe where he won two European Championships in the World Series of Karting. David Silberkleit is the CFO (that’s Chief Frogeye Officer) of the Bugeyeguys, the world leader for Bugeye Sprite sales, restoration, and parts. In 2022 he purchased the first production Bugeye Sprite, a car he imported from Australia. David and his team have sold their 400th Bugeye Sprite this week, an amazing milestone when you consider that in 2007 he started this business from his tiny home garage. Today, Bugeyeguys is a team of seven people in an 11,000 square foot restored Quonset Hut full of classic British sports cars and lots and lots of Bugeye parts. Jerry Cox is a Washington-DC based lawyer and crisis communications advisor with 40 years of experience with airbags in automobiles. Dr. David Whyley is recognized as the world’s leading authority on Austin pedal cars. His previous book on Austin pedal cars has become much sought-after and his new book titled The Austin Pedal Car Story is a fascinating history of Austin’s J40 and Pathfinder from 1946 to present day. David has owned and restored several classic Austins and is an acknowledged expert and advisor for the rare Austin A40 Sports and Austin Atlantic Convertible. Colleen Sheehan is the Sales Manager at Ferraris Online, a company her father Michael Sheehan founded in 1972, 49 years ago. They offer decades of experience as specialty brokers of exotic cars including Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati. Colleen’s passion for cars started at the age of 8 when her father gave her a 1930 BMW 3/15 DA2 that they restored. In 2003, when she was 11, that car was accepted onto the lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and she drove it across the podium to accept an award setting a record as the youngest to ever do so. Today she shares her passion for cars while helping clients achieve their dream car or selling to the next caregiver.

Don Weberg and Eric Monterestelli have both been in the automobile industry for years. Don launched Garage Style Magazine in 2008 and Eric has been involved in motorsports and automobiles founding Gran Touring Motorsports in 2014 and his Break-Fix podcast. Both men have teamed up to create an affiliate network with five digital publications and are working toward creating a single company that will house all their business entities under one roof. The plans include publishing  specialty books and cultivating new clients to help facilitate their marketing and PR needs providing a multitudes of services.

Jasper Drengler is a racer who last spring became the first driver to race in all 50 states. Since he could crawl, Jasper has been infatuated with cars and the first 17 years of his life he attended the Indy 500. He spent most weekends at Wisconsin short tracks watching races and after finishing school he hopped into a race car and started racing himself, sometimes as much as 5 times a week. Over the last 23 years he’s earned some championships at local tracks, touring series, and an SCCA conference championship. Jasper also spent several years racing professionally.

Luiz Veiga is an automotive designer, fine artist, and a musician. His long career includes working at General Motors Brazil, Volkswagen, Chrysler, and he worked as a professional marketer, illustrator, stylist, senior designer, director of design, and as a member of the Volkswagen Design Group in Germany. Luiz has worked in numerous design studios around the world including Sao Paulo, Wolfsburg and Berlin in Germany, Detroit, Italy, China, Mexico, and the United States. He was awarded with the IF Design Award in Germany and today, among other projects, Luiz is developing exotic electric vehicles for AQUAM, a United States startup.

Dan Palatnik is a graphic artist whose career included freelance illustration for ad agencies in the 80s. What began as a new technique evolved into a full time occupation. Since 2003 he has been creating classic car 3dmodeling for restoration projects, real builds, scale models, and custom cars plus visualizations for clients worldwide. He made renders for various local classic car chapter events and contributed with visual information creating cars that became extinct along the course of History. Craig Blake-Jones is the Founder and CEO of Paddock-Life magazine and Paddock-Speedshop TV show. A born petrol head whose career started in fashion, turned a corner into music, which in turn landed in film & television. Criag created Paddock Life magazine in 2014 as a lifestyle journal and into the wonderful world of racing, classic cars and all things automotive. Designed to be a cool coffee table collectable, Paddock Life is 180 pages of gloriously printed and presented petrol hedonism. In 2020, working with his 2 sons Ethan and Harvey, they brought petrol head Lucy Busby on board and built the Paddock Speedshop to create a TV series restoration show that appealed to a younger audience. They are using the Speedshop to bring a new generation of petrol heads into our established brand.

Ken Gross is the Concours Director for this year’s Fourth Annual Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, a three-day festival that includes multiple events including a wheel-to-wheel race car exhibitions, and a Concours d’Elegance and more. Ken’s career in the automotive world includes time as the Executive Director and Guest Curator for the Petersen Automotive Museum. He’s curated numerous highly acclaimed exhibitions across the country. He’s authored over 25 automotive books on a wide variety of historic vehicles, and is a member of ICJAG, the International Chief Judge Advisory Group. Ken has judged in most of the finest Concours d’Elegances in the world and had received the Automotive Hall of Fame Distinguished Service Citation, the Lorin Tryon Trophy at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, The Ken Purdy award from the International Motor Press Association, and the Dean Bachelor Lifetime Achievement Award to name just a few.

Corky Coker is the Grand Marshal Emeritus for this year’s Fourth Annual Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, a three-day event that includes a Rallye, multiple events, and Concours d’Elegance. Corky assumed the leadership role in the Coker Family’s BF Goodrich tire dealership in 1974 and for the next 45 years he and his team helped define the collector-car hobby. Coker tires solved the challenge of finding the right tires for your collector cars. The company grew to the largest supplier of collector vehicle tires with distribution in over 50 countries. He sold his business in 2018 and retained the Honest Charley Speed Shop in downtown Chattanooga where he shares over 180 vintage cars and motorcycles.

Luigi Chinetti Jr. is this year’s Grand Marshal at the fourth annual Chattanooga Motorcar Festival. His father’s pre-World War II life in Milan and Paris with Alfa-Romeo as well as Talbot-Lago, led to his becoming the exclusive North American importer of Ferrari automobiles and the founding of the North American Racing Team. NART gave Luigi the opportunity to fulfill his own ambitions of racing and designing automobiles. He has done both, finishing 5th overall at Le Mans as well as winning his class at the Daytona 24hour Endurance race in a 312P Ferrari with a body he designed himself. He has also overseen the restoration of a number of highly significant Ferrari racing cars several of which required complete restorations. Luigi has distinguished himself both as a driver and designer.

Jeff DeMarey is a passionate auto enthusiast, collector, and insurance agent. Nearly twenty years ago, he started Stonewall Insurance Group, to specialize in protecting classic cars and getting them the coverage they deserve. He currently serves on the National Board of Directors for the Classic Car Club of America. He also serves as a judge at some of the most prestigious auto events in the country, such as The Amelia and Greenwich Concours d’Elegance. Recognizing the aging crowd at classic car events, he has recently, started the Springfield to Boston Education Foundation, a charity aiming to inspire, educate, and motivate students, while providing them with the necessary tools to learn about the world of classic and collector cars.

Alec Harrell is the owner of Harrell Engines Los Angeles. At 27 years old he is the fourth-generation member to carry on the family business. Alec’s great Grand Uncles, Jim and Nick Harrell, started Harrell Engine LA in 1932 in the heart of Los Angeles. Brian Redman is the co-originator of the Rennsport Reunion, the celebration of Porsche Motorsports, past, present, and future. Brian participated in 358 races in his professional career. He haled from Great Britain and was victorious, outright or in his class, in 94 of those races. He finished in the top three 177 times. His tally of classic long-distance victories included the Targa Florio, Daytona 24 Hours (three times), Sebring 12 Hours twice, Nürburgring 1000Km twice, and at the Spa 1000Km four times. He won four long –distance road racing team championships and five individual road-racing championships, the list goes on and on and on. Brian also raced Formula 1, Formula 5000, and today Brian promotes and participates in historic race car events throughout the world.

Patrick Long, along with his mentor and friend Alwin Springer, are co-Grand Marshals of this year’s Porsche Rennsport Reunion 7. Patrick has become the personification of the spirit of Rennsport Reunion, the celebration of Porsche Motorsports, past, present, and future. Patrick started racing at 8 years old, starting with karting and moving up through the ranks, living and racing in Europe. After a run for F1 and landing in a Porsche Supercup as a Junior, he got his taste for GT cars and he became a Porsche factory driver in 2004 until his retirement. But that didn’t mean hanging up his helmet. Today his calendar is filled with vintage racing, motorsports events around the world, a Porsche brand ambassedor, and his co-creation of Luftgekühlt which has become a huge success with events across the country.

Frank Wiesmann is the Manager of Product Communications at Porsche Cars North America. He was obsessed with cars from an early age, uttering his first car-focused words before the names of his parents, and identifying specific models from the comfort of his stroller at age 2. An avid collector of magazines, brochures, and model cars, he went on to become a test driver and editor for a European car magazine before transitioning to Porsche Cars North America in 2014 as the Product Spokesperson for the 911, Boxster and Cayman. Six years later, Frank assumed the managing role on the product communications team at Porsche Cars North America. He and I will be at Rennsport coming up in few weeks.
