Kelly Crandall has been on the NASCAR beat full-time since 2013. She  joined RACER.com as chief NASCAR writer in 2017 and her work has also appeared in NASCAR.com, NASCAR Illustrated magazine, and NBC Sports. She’s also the host of Racing Writers Podcast where she interviews and shares stories from drivers and personalities in NASCAR, NHRA, and others. Her first book is titled NASCAR 75 years which she co-authored with Al Pearce, Mike Hembree and Jimmy Creed. It is an illustrated story of NASCAR stock racing in America, a decade-by-decade history of celebrations, photography, and legendary drivers and teams. The book is published by Motorbooks.

Aileen is the Grand Prize winner of the RPM Foundation’s Design Without Limits Competition sponsored by Prometheus. The competition took place at the Motorcar Cavalcade in Miami, where she presented her design to four established automotive design judges. The students were tasked to design a vehicle for the driving experience, focusing on styling and performance with no restrictions on fuel efficiency or aerodynamics.

Tony Dow was a film producer, director, television actor, sculptor and a lifelong automotive enthusiast. You’ll remember him for his role in the television sitcom Leave It To Beaver that ran on primetime from 1957 to 1963. Tony of course played Wally Cleaver, the eldest son of June and Ward and the wise older brother of Theodore Beaver Cleaver. 

We lost Tony in July of 2022.

Vic Elford was one of the fastest drivers of the sixties and seventies and is a racing icon in Porsche’s history. He was arguably the most versatile all around driver of all time and he’s raced and won pretty much every motoring event in Europe and the U.S. He drove for Steve McQueen in the movie Le Mans and Vic’s authored books, narrated Michel Keyser’s film The Speed Merchants..

We lost Vic in March of 2022.

Fred Simeone was the founder and Executive Director of the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 80,000 square foot building houses an incredible collection of over 65 racing sports cars that encompass the words of John Stuart Mill, “Competition is indispensable to progress.” You will enjoy marques including Alfa Romeo, Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Delahaye to name just a few. Fred was a retired neurosurgeon who donated the cars to a charitable foundation that survives on events and philanthropy and continues today.

We lost Fred in June of 2022.

He's been addicted to speed since he was fiver years old and it all started with his fascination with horses, a passion he still enjoys today watching race horses run.
