Lt. Col Jordan Smith is the Director of Operations, 89^th Attack Squadron, in the United States Air Force. He leads MQ-9 pilots, sensor operators, and intelligence professionals in worldwide combat operations. His active-duty assignments include three operational tours with the 432d Wing and Training Tour with the 12^th Flying Freedom, Enduring Freedom, Freedom’s Sentinel, Inherent Resolve, and Resolute Support. Jordan has more than 5,500 hours flying and has piloted MQ-9A, MQ-1B, T-1, and T-6 aircraft. Did I mention he is also a die-hard automotive enthusiast and a photographer for Linkage magazine? Jordan’s call-sign is ‘Joker’.

Michael Milne is an automotive writer, author, and nomad. In 2011 he and his wife Larissa quit their jobs, sold their house, gave away their possessions, and took off from their hometown of Philadelphia to travel around the world. James Muirhead is Head of Sales for Automotive at Bridge of Weir Leather. He has been working there for over 17 years however his relationship with the brand goes back generations. James is the great-great-grandson of Arthur Muirhead who founded their Family-Owned Scottish leather-making company in 1905. 

Kenny Youngblood is one of the most prolific automotive artists in the field and its most significant pioneer. He started drawing “slingshot” fuel dragsters in 1960 and if you’re into motor sports, no doubt you’ll know his art. In his early twenties he built and drove fuel dragsters of his own. Pete and Fran Thelander are MG enthusiasts. It all started when Pete bought his first MG, while serving in the Army in Germany, a 1954 MG TF. Colin Mullan is a racer and the 2020 GT4 American SprintX Champion, co-driving with Jarett Andretti in the Silver class. He was nominated as a GT4 driver of the year in 2021 by Sportscar365. Colin is experienced in a variety of disciplines of racing, achieving success in touring car, open-wheel, GT, and prototype categories. Peter Coleman is the EU Marketing Manager at Ecobat Solutions, a world leader in the production of lead, lead alloys, and the recycling of lead batteries. Peter began his career in motorsports working for a track day company organizing events around the UK at venues including Silverstone and Donington Park. He was a brand manager at Bridgestone North Europe as well. Since 2017 Peter has served on the Editorial Board of the British Racing Drivers’ Club Bulletin, based at Silverstone.

Ray Iddings got his start in automotive entertainment in 2005 when he developed, produced and hosted a Internet Radio Show. This lead to Ray becoming a Producer and eventually a Show Runner, having produced and developed unscripted series for 16 years. Ray Joined Brian Bassone a year ago to launch Speedtube TV, a streaming automotive channel that just changed it's name to PowerTube TV.

Richard Parks was born during WWII and raised in Orange County, California. Richard is a writer and has penned over 200 biographies including the history of his father Wally Parks who was the Founder, President, and Chairman of the National Hot Rod Association, better known as the NHRA. Wally was instrumental in establishing drag racing as a legitimate amateur and profession motorsport.

Cord Kisthardt is a racer who has been involved in the automotive world throughout his life. His racing career spans many types of motorsports including quarter midgets, micro sprints, sprint cars, and sports cars. Today he’s racing Corvettes in the SCCA Hoosier Tire Super Tour, SVRA, HSR, and VRG. Cord grew up around vintage cars, particularly Ferraris, and continues to be involved in automotive related activities.

Steve Bortolotti is the General Manager at Pfaff Motorsports, one of the most successful sports car racing programs in North America. The team's long history includes Championships in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, the Pirelli World Challenge, and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Gordon Maltby was introduced to Porsches in 1973 when he bought a 1969 911S. He was the editor and publisher of Porsche 356 Registry magazine for years. Twenty-six years later he retired, having developed the magazine into the premier publication on old Porsches. During that time his company RPM Auto Books also published several Porsche titles about the 356, 911 and 912. Today Gordon shares his new book, commissioned by Motorbooks, “Porsche 356, 75th Anniversary” celebrating the first Porsche model and the company’s early history.

Bruce Junor is a docent at this year’s La Jolla Concours. He and the docent team offer informed tours for special guests at concours. His career as an engineer includes time with Ford Aerospace, he worked with Carroll Shelby at Shelby-American in the mid 60s and was the Programs Manager, responsible for sales, manufacturing, and logistics at All American Racers working with Dan Gurney, manufacturing and selling the EAGLE race cars and spare parts. 

Bob Kerner is the Co-Chairman of the La Jolla Concours d’ Elegance and Chair of the Concours Car Selection Committee. He is the Senior Vice President of Risk Strategies Insurance Brokers.  His passion for the collector car hobby and the La Jolla Concours d’ Elegance began back in 2013. Nigel Matthews is the Chief Judge and on the Selection Committee at this year's La Jolla Concours d'Elegance. He is a Chief Judge at numerous concours events throughout the world. In 2015 Nigel was one of the founding members of ICJAG (International Chief Judge Advisory Group) and took over from Ed Gilbertson, as the Chairman in 2020. Since 2005 Nigel has judged most of the major concours events around the globe and he has written classic car columns in the Canadian press and numerous automotive magazines. 

Germany Greer has embraced a deep abiding love for classic cars since his childhood. He has restored over 35 automobiles ranging from a 1954 Crown Victoria to a 1972 BMW Bavaria. He's a photographer, writer for several publications including Automobilia, the S.L. Market Letter, the Mercedes-Benz Star, and Hemmings Classic Car, and traveler. 

Kelly Crandall has been on the NASCAR beat full-time since 2013. She  joined RACER.com as chief NASCAR writer in 2017 and her work has also appeared in NASCAR.com, NASCAR Illustrated magazine, and NBC Sports. She’s also the host of Racing Writers Podcast where she interviews and shares stories from drivers and personalities in NASCAR, NHRA, and others. Aileen Santiago is a 17 years old, high school Junior at Design and Architecture Senior High in Miami, Florida. Aileen is the Grand Prize winner of the RPM Foundation’s Design Without Limits Competition sponsored by Prometheus. The competition took place at the Motorcar Cavalcade in Miami, where she presented her design to four established automotive design judges. The students were tasked to design a vehicle for the driving experience, focusing on styling and performance with no restrictions on fuel efficiency or aerodynamics.

David Voxlin is Director of Behavior Change and Sustainability at SKIM, a global decision behavior research consultancy. Skim recently conducted research into consumer attitudes, emotions, and knowledge as to what may be holding back mass EV-adoption. Their results identified the gaps in people’s understanding which are surprising to many in the industry. 

Crispian Besley is a first-time author with a lifelong interest in cars and passion for motor racing. He’s done some racing himself and more recently enjoys historic single seat race cars including a Cooper F1, as well as Brabham, and Surtees F2 cars. Devon Pastor-Guzman is TechForce Foundation’s Social Media Content Creator. Jon Saltinstall is an author who wrote the book "Niki Lauda: His Competition History," which was published by EVRO Publishing in 2019 and shortlisted for the RAC Motoring Book of the Year. Encouraged by the acclaim for his first book, he moved on to a similar project about another Ferrari star, Jacky Ickx, a driver with a truly eclectic and fascinating racing life. His new book titled Jacky Ickx: His Authorized Competition History is another winning book worth of your library. 

Gregg Blue is a collector with a passion for traveling, old cars, and finding more than unique automobiles to inspire his live. His  career has been one of discovering treasures from around the world.  He’s lived all around the world but today he lives at the bottom of Crater Road on Maui where he can enjoy driving his collection from the sea to 10,000 feet above sea level. The cars he has today are a result of buying and selling and trading for the last 50 years.

Mike Wolfe has earned a reputation as one of the country’s foremost foragers of American history. The creator and star of History Channel’s American Pickers has made a life finding the beauty of forgotten objects and places—preserving them for the rest of us who love to collect. Mike’s here to share his passions along with As Found Collection that he’s consigned to the32nd  annual Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycles  auction taking place January 24 – 28. 

Johnny Böhmer is the Founder of JBR Proving Grounds, a company which provides guidelines, consulting, and testing in accordance with numerous testing facilities throughout the United States. Past Cars Yeah guest Richard Rawlings, of Gas Monkey garage fame, sponsored and partnered with Johnny on his “BADD GT’ project and they cemented its place as the Fastest Street Legal car in the world. They reached a stunning 310.8 MPH. 

Mercedes Thompson is a Junior at McPherson College and a recent recipient of the RPM Foundation Grant. She’s pursuing a degree in automotive restoration design with the goal to open her own business that will have a focus on automotive design and marketing. 

Jill Amadio is an author of both fiction and non-fiction books. As a journalist she has covered auto racing for Gannett Newspapers, National Speed Sports News, the Los Angeles Daily News, and other publications. As a reporter for the Bangkok Post the first race she covered was an F3 event in Macau, Hong Kong. Jill was Communications Director for Skoal Bandit Racing on several circuits including Indycars, NASCAR, Can-Am, sprint, and funny cars. She writes an award-winning mystery series and ghostwrites memoirs. She was the writer for Raoul ‘Sonny’ Balcean’s biography along working with Pete Lyons. It is an engaging memoir from one of American racing's unsung heroes.

Tom Nault’s passion for entrepreneurship, management, and turnarounds began when he was in college. Along with his fascination for companies that did great things, Tom also had a fascination with failures, how they happened and more importantly, and how they could be fixed.  Throughout his career he has created many businesses, sold them, some went on to greatness, some did not. He helped many distressed companies and learned a lot. He co-founded Exotics at Redmond Town Center that has become the largest weekly gathering of exotics and rare cars and a huge Pacific Northwest success. He joined the Board of  America’s Automotive Trust that has oversite for LeMay America’s Car Museum. When COVID struck Tom wrote a book titled How To Not F*ck Up Your Own Company: Lessons I Learned by Screwing Up.

Raoul ‘Sonny’ Balcaen grew up in Los Angeles at a time when it became the epicenter of American motor racing, nurturing a vast talent pool of people whose influence has echoed through to today. Sonny’s life is outlined in his autobiography, published by Evro, and includes co-authors Jill Amadio and past Cars Yeah guest Pete Lyons. This engaging memoir from one of American racing's unsung heroes is the very personal history of a momentous time and place in which we meet a who’s who of West Coast road-racing heroes. 

Sharon Spurlin is the owner of Classic Ads, a full-service sales and advertising agency. She is the publisher of AutoMobilia Resource magazine, a publication launched in 2018 that focuses on the collector world of automotive memorabilia. 

Brad Phillips is the Senior VP of Business Development at RM Sotheby’s, the world’s largest collector car auction house by total sales. They conduct auctions around the world and this month they will return for their annual Arizona Auction takes place January 26th at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix where they realized over $43 million is sales in2022. 

Chuck Stanford is the Co-Founder and Selection Committee Chair of the Arizona Concours taking place on Sunday, January 22. This event starts off the New Year concours circuit and Arizona Auctions week. This concours recently announced its rebirth in Scottsdale for January 2023.  Chuck has also judged at the Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance and at the Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance. 

Sperry Hutchinson is the Manager of Development at The Piston Foundation. The foundation builds scholarship and apprenticeship programs that serve the car community. Sperry has lived most of his life in Arizona, where he was born and raised. He has gone on to create several car rallies, serving as Chairman of the Copperstate 1000 and the world’s first vintage, off-road luxury rally, the Copperstate Overland. He also hosts AutoMoto podcast to be launched in the New Year.

Tony Dow was a film producer, director, television actor, sculptor and a lifelong automotive enthusiast. You’ll remember him for his role in the television sitcom Leave It To Beaver that ran on primetime from 1957 to 1963. Tony of course played Wally Cleaver, the eldest son of June and Ward and the wise older brother of Theodore Beaver Cleaver. 

We lost Tony in July of 2022.

Vic Elford was one of the fastest drivers of the sixties and seventies and is a racing icon in Porsche’s history. He was arguably the most versatile all around driver of all time and he’s raced and won pretty much every motoring event in Europe and the U.S. He drove for Steve McQueen in the movie Le Mans and Vic’s authored books, narrated Michel Keyser’s film The Speed Merchants..

We lost Vic in March of 2022.

Fred Simeone was the founder and Executive Director of the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 80,000 square foot building houses an incredible collection of over 65 racing sports cars that encompass the words of John Stuart Mill, “Competition is indispensable to progress.” You will enjoy marques including Alfa Romeo, Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Delahaye to name just a few. Fred was a retired neurosurgeon who donated the cars to a charitable foundation that survives on events and philanthropy and continues today.

We lost Fred in June of 2022.

This is a special in memoriam show with Russel Fleury who was one of the most highly respected consultants in corporate education. He was the founder and CEO of Road-Scholars International, a performance improvement firm specializing in coaching automotive dealerships in management, customer retention and human resources.  His clients included:  Hyundai, Toyota, BMW, Mini, Ford, General Motors, Porsche, Mitsubishi, Ferrari, Maserati, Freightliner, Daimler, Harley-Davidson, Correct Craft, The Kinetic Group and more. Jaxon Bell is 19 years old with a thirst to go racing. Having a passion for racing since he was a toddler, he started his racing career in the Skip Barber Racing Series. In the first part of this past December, he ran his first race in a Formula 4 car at the Circuit of the Americas where he earned a podium finish in each of his two races. Serge Vanbokryck started his career in the late 1980s as a journalist and photographer, reporting on endurance racing for European newspapers and magazines. Today Serge is here to share his book titled Works Porsche 962 – The Definitive History, a three volume set with over 1,400 pages and 1,800 images, purblished by Porter Press.

Mark Hawwa is the Founder of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. The events unite classic and vintage style motorcycle riders from all over the world to raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues including prostate cancer research and awareness and men’s mental health issues and concerns. His motto and mission is: “Riding Dapper for a Cause”. He and his supporters have raised over $37.5 million for men’s health. He talks about his new book focused on DGR.

Ken Rusk is a best-selling author, entrepreneur, and blue-collar advocate showing that there’s no degree required for comfort, peace, and freedom. Gene Crouch is the Chief Operating Officer of AMA Pro Racing, the sanctioning body for Professional Motorcycle racing in the USA.  They are the NASCAR for the motorcycle world.

Dwight Knowlton is the founder of Carpe Viam, an automotive lifestyle brand focused on the joy and history of vintage and collector cars. He returns to Cars yeah to share a collaboration with past Cars Yeah guest Bill Pack and the new book Epic Drama: The Winning Collection of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. His latest endeavor, TheMotoringArts.com debuts January 1st, 2023.

Philip White is the Associate Director Marketing and the Business Development Manager at Bicester Heritage and has been instrumental in their growth from its early days. Since joining the founding team in 2014, Philip has assisted in the curation of the atmospheric business campus, now held as the de-facto home of historic motoring. Philip and the team are well on their way to building the UK’s pre-eminent destination for motion technology; past, present, and future.
