Neil Podbery is an artist and painter who lives in the United Kingdom. He paints a wide variety of subject matters however his passions lie with transportation including automobiles, aircraft, and especially trains. Steam locomotives became the basis for his initial foray into commercial art and he is a member of the Guild of Railway Artists. He is also captivated by wildlife and that passion grew while on safari in South Africa. Neil’s art has been exhibited at some of the most prestigious motoring events throughout the UK, Europe, and the United States. He was commissioned to paint Prince Charle’s Aston Martin DB6 and he was asked to be the Artist in Residence for the Concours of Elegance at Windsor Palace, Hampton Court Palace, St. James Palace, and Holyrood House, all of which are Royal Households used by the British Royal family.

Bob Marlow is a veteran motorsports writer and speedway public address announcer from New Jersey. Bob’s been to more than 100 speedways in the US and Canada covering everything from the local short tracks to Formula 1 and IndyCar.  Most recently Bob was at Phoenix Raceway, where he was on the microphone for the Vintage Desert Classic vintage IndyCar event that was part of the Verizon Indycar Series’ weekend. And he just completed a 15-year run as the lead announcer for the “Gambler’s Classic” midwinter indoor racing events in Atlantic City.  Now retired from announcing, today Bob is the Motorsports Editor for CarShowSafari.com, a web site with the ambitious tagline of “Every Car Event, Everywhere.” Bob is also a classic car enthusiast, and can be seen roaming the aisles at Hershey every October.

Dana Newquist is the President of the Santa Barbara AACA Region (Antique Automobile Club of America). His is a lifetime of automotive enthusiasm that began when just prior to graduating from High School, in 1965 when Dana purchased a rusty old 1957 Chevy 150 2 door. It was the first of hundreds of cars, first fast, later slow. His passion for cars has lead to a collection of 16 cars today, mostly pre-war American of various marques. Dana’s involvement with the AACA has helped him make connections and affiliations with Museums and he is a Board Member of the Murphy Auto Museum. He’s helped chair and organize local car shows and he currently co-chairs the Montecito Motor Classic and Father’s Day Show at the Santa Barbara Club that takes place annually.

Tim Willard was four years old when he sat on his father’s lap and steered the family’s Pontiac Chieftain down a dirt road. In high school he worked at a local Alfa Romeo dealership, learning his craft on Italian marques including Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini. He was a race mechanic with some top teams competing in Formula Atlantic, Indy Lights, and IMSA GTP. Later he restored cars with past Cars Yeah guest Butch Dennison*, who then worked with Pete Lovely at Pete Lovely Racing. He served as a tech with BMW Northwest and then spent 15 years at Griot’s Garage as a product development specialist and then a curator and restorer of the owner’s private collection. Today Tim is a senior restoration technician at Dennison International in Puyallup Washington where they restore Pebble Beach winning automobiles and service vintage race cars and touring cars for their clients.

Garth Stein is an author whose book The Art of Racing in the Rain is the most recommended by automotive enthusiasts here on Cars Yeah. The Art of Racing in the Rain has sold more than 4 million copies in 35 languages and was on the New York Times bestseller list for three years.
