Casey M. Annis is the Publisher and Editor at Parabolica Publishing where they produce Vintage Racecar/Vintage Roadcar magazine, the Petersen Museum’s Finish Line and Petersen Quarterly, Alfa Owner, and The Oily Rag magazines. He founded Parabolica Publishing in 1997 after a career in biology, anatomy and neurobiology. John Kleven started his first business at the age of 12 and is entrepreneurship hasn’t slowed. In 2005 John and long time friend Benjamin Nussbaum opened Metropolitan Detail in Lynwood, Washington. There they care for their customers vehicles and provide them with loaners, a service few detailer’s provide. In addition to detailing vehicles Metropolitan Detail applies XPEL paint protection, dent removal and paint correction, window tinting, and more. They also offer a boutique where customers can purchase products at their facility or on their website.

Dan Quarnstrom is the author of Joyride Flatout, his new book about hot rods and dream machines. He is a veteran 3D and visual development designer based in Los Angeles, who spent more than 15 years as a creative director, art director, and designer at the award-winning Rhythm & Hues Studios. Over the course of his career, he has worked on several animated films, designed the iconic Coca-Cola polar bears during the '90s, and seen his designs featured in Rolling Stone. Dan teaches at Art Center College of Design, The Laguna Academy, and the Art Institute. Whether it's a rock-and-roll poster, character design, fantasy environment, or 3-D animation, Dan loves to bring ideas to life.

Harold Cleworth is known as the “Painter Laureate of the car”. His lifetime of work grace homes, offices, and galleries, around the world. He’s painted album covers for the Rolling Stones, The Who, and automotive pieces for manufacturers, celebrities, drivers, and enthusiasts who commission paintings of their automobiles. He’s created upwards of 300 works on canvas over the years and thousands of posters and prints. Harold has just released his book An Artfulllife. It’s his legacy and presents his lifetime of work that represents his style and masterful impressions of the automobile over time. I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Howard on July 1, 2014 when he appeared on Cars Yeah as my 22 guest and it’s wonderful to welcome him back to talk about his new book.

Vu Nguyen is the Executive Director of the Porsche Club of America. The PCA puts on more than 3,000 events annually in 13 different Zones that contain 144 Regions including the Club’s Annual Porsche Parade. Vu joined the PCA in 2005 when the club had just over 52,000 members and that number has swelled to over 71,000 today. Add affiliate and family members and that number is 115,000 people. He and the Executive Council manage the PCA National Office and oversee a vast number of programs and events for Porsche enthusiasts around the country. Swiss-born Mark Stehrenberger is a car designer who lives alternately in Ventura, CA and Montreux, Switzerland. His conceptual car illustrations have been featured in magazines and books worldwide. His graphic and fine artworks hang in numerous private and corporate galleries. He has also established an international reputation for cutting-edge car design for car makers for after-market car products, sports equipment, shoes, luxury wristwatch and fashion accessories, as well as medical devices.

Mark has been teaching car design at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, and Art Center Europe in Vevey, Switzerland and he is a judge at numerous concours events in the U.S. and Europe. In January 2015 he was awarded the honorary title “Car Man of the Year in Switzerland.

Alain Raymond is an automotive journalist, photographer, historian, and vintage racecar driver. He spent over 40 years as a professional technical translator and in the early 80s founded his own translation firm in Ottowa, specializing in the automotive field. Juan Carlos Ferrigno is an artist who lives in Barcelona, Spain and has painted for over 25 years. When he was ten years old his father took him to his first F1 race in Buenos Aires and it was there that he was bit by the racing bug. He attended The Fine Art School and worked as an illustrator in Argentina and then he moved to Spain where he continued to draw and paint. He’s won the prestigious International Motoring Art competition and he’s worked with Planners International Events. The Ring brothers, Jim and Mike, have owned and operated Classic Auto Body in Spring Green, Wisconsin for more than 20 years. Their collision repair shop gets owner’s cars back on the road and it’s also a place where some of the most spectacular and creative handcrafted builds in the world emerge from. Howard Mackert is the owner of Mac Auto, Mackert Automotive in Gig Harbor Washington. He started his business on September 15, 2001, three days after the 911 tragedy. Earlier in his career he spent 9 years in GM dealerships as a tech manager and field engineer helping resolve issues their 1-800 hotline couldn’t solve. He then trained independent diesel shops in electrical theory and electronic control systems. Peter Hageman is the chief judge for the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance. He inherited his love of vintage cars from his father, acquiring his first car, a 1927 Packard, when he was just thirteen years old. He has been a regional Chairman of the Bentley Driver’s Club and a judge at numerous concours events around the world. Derek Hill, a Santa Monica native, comes from an automotive family that has left their marks around the world. He is the son of America’s first World Driving Champion, Phil Hill. Spike Feresten is the host of Esquire Network’s Car Mathmaker now entering its second season. Spike calls upon his years as an automotive expert to match the right car with the show’s guest. His career as a television comic writer is decades long and he’s wrote for Saturday Night Live. He’s written for David Letterman where he earned five Emmy nominations. Spike also wrote for the groundbreaking sitcom Seinfeld where he became Supervising Producer and garnered three additional Emmy nominations, one for the famous Soup Nazi episode. He’s hosted his own late night series Talkshow with Spike Feresten and he’s known as an expert in the automotive world. Markus Haub is an artists who was born in Germany and studied Transportation Design at the University of applied Arts in Pforzheim. He moved to Spain to work for Volkswagen and Renault in their design studios. In parallel he developed as an artist, painter, and photographer. Now living in Spain and Germany, he works as a designer and painter and shows his work in exhibitions and art fairs in Spain, France, Holland, Ireland, England, and New York. He’s been published in many magazines and his work has been displayed in many prestigious museums.

Howard Swig is a Bay Area native and lifelong car enthusiast. Like his brother David, who has appeared here at Cars Yeah, what started out as a hobby and automotive passion turned into a career. He worked in the Technical Department at Car and Driver magazine and then went on to work in the car retail business at buying/leasing broker Cartelligent. Returning Cars Yeah guest Dominic Dobson made 65 starts driving Indycars between 1984-1994, including seven consecutive starts at the Indianapolis 500.  He was CART Rookie of the Year in 1986 and was the Fastest Rookie in Indianapolis history in 1988. He drove numerous IMSA and other sports car races including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 hours of Daytona and the 12 hours of Sebring in a Porsche 962. He also raced two years for Dodge in the North American Touring Car Championship. He was an instructor at the Bob Bondurant Driving School at Sears Point Raceway and started Zephyr Racing in the mid 80’s. After retiring from racing in 1998, Dominic presided over a multi-million dollar collection of historic automobiles at the Cavallino Collection and he founded Motion Research Corporation. Currently Dominic is the National Club Auto Director for LeMay-America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington. Dominic is dusting off his helmet and will return to the racecar to compete at Pike’s Peak Hillclimb in a Radical SR8 in June, 2015.

Ford W. Heacock III is a veteran insurance professional with a passion for collector cars. He grew up in the racing community of Sebring, Florida where his family was intimately involved in the 12 Hours of Sebring throughout the 1950s and 60s. Lance Stander has been in the automotive industry for over 37 years. He opened Hillbank Motor Corp located in Costa Mesa California in 1999 after years in South Africa where he worked with his father. Hillbank specializes in building the Superformance Cobra, Shelby Daytonas, and GT40 cars. In 2005 Lance purchased Superformance and he is the world wide distributor for all Superformance built cars. He is also the builder and distributor for Shelby’s Continuation Sixties Cobras. His is the only company licensed by Shelby to build the Cobra MKIII. Tina Van Curen is the owner of Autobooks-Aerobooks in Burbank, California. Autobooks was established in 1951 and is known world-wide as a resource and meeting place for collectors, racers, and enthusiasts of all types. Tina grew up in Southern California in a family of car guys. While at UC Riverside getting a BA and an MA in Economics she discovered Riverside International Raceway and sports car racing. During her tenure in the 1990’s as President of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club in Southern California she took the plunge into vintage racing, joined VARA and ran an Alfa Spider. In addition to running the bookstore she has organized the Best of France and Italy show in LA, and the Queen’s English British show as well.

He has created The Humble Mechanic website that is geared toward helping to build relationships between technicians and their customers. Gordon Maltby has been the editor of Porsche 356 Registry magazine for 23 years and his publishing company has several titles on classic Porsches in print. His writing and photos have been published in a number of venues that are both print and digital. He joined Motorbooks International as their art director in 1984. He went his own independent way a few years later and after writing the book Porsche 356 and RS Spyders in 1990, he began to focus his attention on the Porsche 356 model. Gordon lives with his wife in Minnesota where he is currently in the ninth year of a 12-month restoration of his 1973 911.

Joe Marshall is a designer and fabricator with a background in aerospace engineering. As co-owner of Mule Expedition Outfitters, an expedition vehicle outfitter and customizing shop in Issaquah Washington, Joe and his team provide products and services geared toward extended back country travel. Joe draws from a 15 year career in aerospace and a passion for the outdoors. Even the name of the company was derived from the US Army acronym M.U.L.E. which stands for Multifunctional, Utility, Logistic Equipment. David Swig is a Specialist in Bonhams Collectors' Motorcars Department. His work includes consigning and researching vintage cars and maintaining an active presence in the historic motoring scene. He is a lifelong automobile enthusiast and a regular participant in historic car activities including circuit racing, road tours, and Concours events. His father, the late California motoring pioneer Martin Swig, introduced David to his own unique version of California car culture; David consequently grew up immersed in the vintage car hobby. He and his brother, Howard, organize the internationally renowned California Mille 1000-mile historic sports car tour each April. A San Francisco native, Swig can often be found racing his 1957 Monsterati Special.

Johnny O’Connell is a three time World Challenge GT Driver Champion. He races the number 3 Cadillac Racing ATS-VR Coupe. With back-to-back-to-back GT driver’s championships in 2012, 2013, and 2014 he was instrumental in Cadillac winning consecutive manufacturer titles. He is recognized as one of North America’s most talented and versatile racing drivers and he started his career in formula cars in 1987. He’s raced Indy Cars, numerous endurance races, and he won his class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in his first outing plus he’s the first American driver to win four times at Le Mans. He’s a three-time ALMS GT1 Champion and he holds a black-belt in Karate.

Gary Wales, the Prince of Wales, is a collector, builder, dreamer, and automotive expert. He’s been involved with the Rolls Royce and Bentley Club for many years participating in tours, concours events, and more. Gary is well known for taking old derelict vehicles and building period customs, recreations of magnificent stature. He’s restored concours winning cars including Pebble Beach award winners. Lately he’s built the magnificent Le Besteoni, effectionately known as Rusty II, the 7th in a series of custom built coachworks using American built vehicles. Larry Webster is the Editor-in-Chief of Road & Track, overseeing the development of the brand across print, web, broadcast, and tablet platforms. Paul Duchene has been an automotive journalist for 40 years. In that time he has owned about 250 cars, and drove an Isetta three-wheeler daily as a reporter in London in the 1960s. He’s raced motorcycles and ran the 1,000 mile Moto-Giro d’Italian on a 1957 Ducati and he ran the 5,000 mile Alcan Winter Rally six times. He has written for the Chicago Tribune, New York Times, Car and Driver, Autoweek, and Roundel, and was the Automotive Editor at The Oregonian and the Portland Tribune, and Executive Editor at Sports Car Market Magazine. These days, Paul writes classic car auction catalogs for RM and Gooding, for the soon-to-be-opened World of Speed Museum and for Hagerty’s European website. You can hear Paul at the Laguna Seca and Portland historic races as an announcer.

He was previously the curator, restorer, and historian for the JWR Automobile Museum, Mark is also a veteran of the concours circuit having exhibited vehicles and judging at numerous venues across the country. He’s the founding member of The Elegance at Hershey Concours and serves on the board of directors and at the National Association of Automobile Museums (NAAM) and the Rolls-Royce Foundation. Mark’s also been an ASE Certified Master Technician for over 25 years.

Kevin Clemens is an award winning writer and magazine editor. He’s been a staff member at Automobile and European Car magazines and has written columns for numerous other publications and major automotive companies. Kevin has written eight books and he has received the Ken Purdy Award for Excellence in Automotive Journalism. In 2006 he started the independent publishing company, Demontreville Press in Lake Elmo, Minnesota that specializes in the publication of automotive fiction and the republishing of out of print automotive titles.
