In 2013, Ed and two friends took a drive from New York to Los Angeles and set a new world record, completing their journey in 28 hours and 50 minutes. They drove a Mercedes Benz CL55 AMG on that trip averaging 98 miles per hour. Ed’s been in the automobile business for years having sold his exotic car rental company and he was the Sales Director at a Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Lotus dealer in Atlanta Georgia.

Carl Reese is an American endurance driver who has set more transcontinental driving records than anyone else since Erwin “Cannonball” Baker. Carl and this team set six world records in 2015 over a seven month period with the most notable being a solo motorcycle “cannonball” traveling from Los Angeles to New York. Carl did that run in 38 hours and 49 minutes. He holds the Guinness World Record for the shortest charging time to cross the U.S.A. in an electric vehicle among his many records. One of the wonderful things Carl does is to partner with the Motorcycle Relief Project where he helps our military veterans suffering from PTSD and other injuries to heal and recover.

Alex Riberas is an international motorsports racer driver from Barcelona, Spain who is currently racing with Team Seattle Alex Job Racing in a Porsche 911GT3R. His teammates are Ian James and Mario Farnbacher who are both past guests here at Cars Yeah. Alex started racing karts at the age of 12, then Formula Renault in Europe. He became a Porsche Motorsport Junior racer and competed in Porsche Carrera Cup and Supercup. He’s raced at the 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans. He’s the first Spaniard to win a Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race. Since founded in 1997 Team Seattle, founded by Cars Yeah guest Don Kitch and Alex Job Raising has raised over 6 millions of dollars for Seattle Children’s Hospital and Alex helped raise $500,000 of that in his efforts with the Heart of Raising and Team Seattle.

Boris Said is an American race car driver from California who’s been racing for over 30 years. His father was Bob Said, a Formula One race driver and a U.S. Olympic bobsled driver. In his early days Boris raced motorcycles, then SCCA in the late 80s and from there he moved to the IMSA series in a BMW M3. He’s won the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Boris has raced in NASCAR in the Craftsman Truck Series, and in cars as well and he has raced in the American Le Mans Series and he also competed in the X Games and the Baja 1000. Endurance, off road, touring cars, Boris has raced them all. Boris is a partner in a California BMW and VW dealership and he is the co-owner at K1Speed, a nationwide business with 34 indoor karting tracks.

Ed Archer has been an automotive enthusiast for over 50 years who has run an automobile appraisal company since the 70s. He is the past President of the Model T ford Club of America, past President of the Bay Area Horseless Carriage club, Mid Peninsula Old Timer Auto Club, head Class Judge at a number of Concours d’Elegance events and co-Founder of the Annual Santa Clara Valley Model T ford Club 200 Mile Cross Country Endurance Run. He’s authored numerous articles in national automobile magazines and Ed was awarded with a Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2005 he was inducted in to the Model T Ford Speedster and Race Cars Hall of Fame. More than anything Ed loves driving old cars.

Tommy Kendall is an American race car driver and television broadcaster best known for his IMSA GT Championships, GTU Championships, and the SCCA Trans-Am Series where he dominated in the 1990s. He ran in 14 NASCAR Winston Cup Series races, the Busch Series, and raced in the AMP Bathurst 1000, the American Le Mans Series plus the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Tommy’s been a television analyst for Champ Car, a host on Speed Test Drive, and on numerous television shows including Speed TV’s Setup and WindTunnel, Fox Sport’s Driven – A Race Without Boundaries, and recently on the TV show Porsche 911: The Icon in Evolution with Danny Sullivan and past Cars Yeah guest Patrick Long. In 2015 Tommy was an inductee in the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.

Ken Lingenfelter is the owner of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, a 42 year old company that is the leader in aftermarket engineering and performance products and parts. In addition to this iconic brand, Ken owns the Lingenfelter Collection that consists of over 200 historically significant muscle cars, late model exotics, and Corvettes. Hunter Brayton is a third generation racer from Coldwater, Michigan. His grandfather was a Sprint Car racer who set records around the country and his uncle, Scott Brayton, raced Indy Cars but tragically lost his life at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1996. His father raced in the IMSA series running in GTU and Camel Lite. Hunter started racing at 9 years old in a kart and moved to the national level at the age of 13. He raced SCCA Formula 600 at the age of 15 and that’s where he currently races today.

Dylan Murry has been racing for eight years earning nine championships in Karts and Legends cars, and he is currently in the chase for his 10th. He won the 2010 Andretti Pro Cup Karting title, the 2012 and 2013 GSKA and Southeastern divisional championships, the 2011 and 2013 World Karting Association national championships, (in two classes) and the 2014-15 Legends Atlanta Motor Speedway Championship. Dylan raced in the 2015 Legends Series, including “Thursday Thunder” at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and he earned a test in Spraker Racing's Late Model car. Diane Fitzgerald is the National Director of the Hagerty Education Program at LeMay – America’s Cars Museum. She is continuing the work of the Hagerty Fund and Collectors Foundations to promote America’s automotive heritage and the interests of the collector community. Prior to her role with Hagerty Diane was the museum’s National Club Auto Director helping to reach beyond their campus in Tacoma, Washington. Dan Parker is from Columbus, Georgia and has been in to racing since he was 16 years old. At his company Parker Chassis, he was a fabricator, chassis builder, crew chief, and drag racer who in 2005 won the title as the ADRL Pro Nitrous Pro Mod Champion. One of his dreams was to build a Bonneville car and a tragic racing accident set him on that course. Today Dan is realizing his dream and has designed and built a custom bike that in 2013 he took to the Bonneville Salt Flats and successfully ran, setting a world record. Dan returned in 2014 and set his F.I.M. class record. And what were these records for? Dan was the first blind man to independently race a motorcycle on the salt. Dan’s motto is: “I’m not a blind man trying to race. I’m a racer who went blind.”

Her unique and colorful paintings have been exhibited at invitational and juried venues around the country and hang in private collections as well. Her medium is gouache and they merge nature and the automobile in a colorful juxtaposition of the mechanics of each subject she paints. Sue is a Professor of Art, holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Radford University and she is an associate member of the Automotive Fine Arts Society.

Charlie Postins grew up in Coventry, England. His father Bill Postins was a touring car racer and his grandfather Ted Loades founded Abbey Panels responsible for Jaguar C-type prototypes and the XJ220. ChaCharlie raced karts, Formula First, and a Renault Clio. In his early career he was an automotive clay sculpture working at design studios for Saab, Audi, VW, Rolls Royce and Porsche. He worked at Nissan Design America in La Jolla, California for ten years. Today Charlie has dusted off his helmet and competes as much as possible with fellow Cars Yeah guest Cameron Clay and recently won his class at the Thunderhill 25 Hour race. David Murry, owner of David Murry Motorsports, is a driver for all classes who's raced for over 35 years. His company provides driver’s coaching, trackside support, track days, and automotive storage and maintenance. David started his racing career in 1981 in a Formula Ford. Since then he’s raced in the Sports Renault series, the ALMS series Petiti LeMans at Road Atlanta, the Daytona 24 Hour, and the ALMS GT2 in a Ford GT. He was a factory driver for Nissan competing in the Grand American/Rolex Series driving GT cars and he raced in Daytona Prototypes driving a Porsche powered Doran chassis. Steve Trafton owns and operates Black Horse Racing in Seattle, Washington. After a successful career in the banking industry, he embarked upon a series of long distance adventures that included walking, kayaking and boating. At the age of 64, in 2010, Steve set the World Land Speed Record for the AA Blown Fuel Modified Sport class at 275.401 mile per hour. That is a record that still stands. Today, Steve and his wife Katherine are preparing for the 9,000 mile Peking to Paris car rally. He is an intense advocate of the motto: “If you’re not moving, you’re standing still.”

Dr. Andrew Feustel is a NASA Astronaut and Mission Specialist whose passion early in life to wrench on cars came full circle when he flew in to space on board the Space Shuttle Atlantis. He spent 13 days in space improving the Hubble Space Telescope’s observatory’s capabilities, removing frozen bolts, stripped screws, and stuck handrails. Then he flew on Space Shuttle Endeavour’s final mission to the International Space Station. Skip Barber is the President and the sole owner of the world’s most beautiful and historically significant motorsports and automotive venues Lime Rock Park. He started racing in 1958 and he won his first race and held 32 track records around the country. He founded the Skip Barber Racing School in 1975 and built it in to a premier organization that launched many professional driver’s careers. Tommy Byrne has been a professional racer and operates a race driving and coaching service. Today Tommy runs Diablo Drift Driving Academy. It’s a mobile driving school for teens and adults where they teach advanced driving skills necessary to remain safe on the road.
