Jason Torchinsky is a writer and an artist who indulges is disturbingly deep obsession with automobiles, in his role as Associate Editor on the popular website, Jalopnik. Jason has written a book, opened for George Carlin as a stand-up comedian, written for the Onion, and he’s had art installations in several cities around the world. Jason’s raced cars, wrecked cars, and produced many car-related artworks, articles, and talks. Jason grew up in North Carolina, lived a long time in Los Angeles, and is now back in North Carolina, which he’s hoping doesn’t make him some kind of loser.

Bobby Rahal is the Co-Owner of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in Hillard, Ohio and Brownsburg, Indiana. He worked his way up through the racing ranks starting with SCCA’s feeder series in Formula Atlantic, then to European Formula Two. During an 18-year career spanning F1, Can-Am, Le Mans/IMSA, and CART, Bobby notched three CART championships, including a win at the 1986 Indy 500. He won at the 1981 24 Hours of Daytona and the 1987 12 Hours of Sebring. With 264 race starts for five teams he took 18 poles and scored 24 wins including back-to-back CART championships. Today Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has won races in CART/Champ Car, the IndyCar Series, the Indy Racing League, Indy Lights, and the American LeMans Series.

Donnie Calloway has spent over 30 years restoring magnificent collectible cars, most of them Ferraris. It started with him growing up in Los Angeles, then working at Hollywood Sports Cars, and soon thereafter, spending time in Hawaii with an uncle learning to hand form aluminum bodies. He does complete restorations, does all his own engine work, documents the builds, and reassembles concours level cars that win first places and breaking world records at auctions. Donnie has worked on pretty much every Ferrari model made including 512 BBs, 365 2+2s, TDFs, James Coburn’s California Spyder, and many, many others.

Tom Glatch is an automotive photographer and author whose new book is titled The Complete Book of American Muscle Supercars. In 1983 he wrote his first article for Circle Track Magazine, a Peterson publication. He’s written many stories on numerous subjects including vintage racing and shot photographs for calendars and magazines including Collectible Automobile to Pontiac Enthusiast. He still works for the same Fortune 500 company that hired him out of high school in 1974 and he’s currently in the Global Supply Chain group as a data and systems analyst. This latest book, published by Motorbooks, is his first and covers American muscle cars including the Yenko, Shelby, Baldwin Motion, Grand Spaulding, Saleen, Callaway, and many more.

Jason Len is the President at XK’s Unlimited in San Luis Obispo, California. He is a worldwide supplier of Classic Jaguar parts and restores classic Jaguars and other collectible automobiles. Pete Biro is a photographer and journalist whose 50 plus year career started when Road & Track magazine asked him to supply them with a story on the Barneson Special, a custom-made sports car. The iconic David E. Davis Jr. discovered Pete’s work and gave him assignments for Car and Driver magazines. Pete and David traveled the world covering races including Le Mans, Grand Prix’s, and most major races and he shot for Sports Illustrated, Time, Life and many others. He met and became friends with many of the great drivers including: Dan Gurney, Phil Hill, Bruce Mclaren, Denny Hulme, Jackie Stewart, A.J. Foyt, Richard Petty and many others. He worked for Dan Gurney as a public relations guy during the time Bobby Unser won the Indy 500. His latest endeavor is supplying photos for the new book Can-Am 50th Anniversary collaborating with author George Levy.

Mike Skinner’s racing career spans more than 40 years. He started racing in 1975 in a wrecked Plymouth Road Racer. He ran on dirt tracks, winning three championships, racing at night while holding down a day job to pay for his track time. He’s raced stock cars to NASCAR trucks both in the U.S.A. and abroad and in 1995 he was the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion. Mike’s worked in television and radio as a personality and today you can find him racing his NASCAR Trucks up the hill at Goodwood Festival of Speed, running in vintage racing events, and cohosting Skinner Round-Up on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Mike supports charities through the annual “Skinner Round-Up For Charity” event, and serves as a spokesperson for Hope For The Warriors, a military nonprofit dedicated to restoring self, family, and hope for post-9/11 service members, veterans and military families. In 2013, Mike was inducted into the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame. Currently he's the American "Stig" on the new Amazon series The Grand Tour with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

Jim Carpenter is the owner of Italian Design and Racing in Mesa, Arizona. He's been modifying Ferraris since 1987 helping his customers fulfill their dreams. He and his team modify Ferrari bodies, chassis, engines, exhausts, gearboxes, and much more. He has designed and completed numerous convertible conversions for the Ferrari 308 models plus adding spoilers and accent parts. Racing though is Jim's true passion and he has completed many 308 model conversions to fully compliant SCCA race cars. His clients enjoy their cars in SCCA, historic, Ferrari club track and racing events. A recent build involved modifying a 330 GT 2+2 chassis using a Ferrari P4 style body plus a Ferrari 550 Maranello engine.

Keith Kaucher is an automotive designer and the owner of Kaucher Kustoms in Santa Monica, California. He has designed more than 60 custom cars ranging from a 1936 De Soto Airflow to a 2009 Camaro. He creates custom automobiles for clients around the world. He’s designed many wheels from aftermarket to OEM including the 2004 Mustang Bullit. The first of his designs he took to the Grand National Roadster show in 2006 won first place for Best Post War Hardtop Traditional Custom. Since then he’s earned numerous awards and trophies for his car designs. His latest car is the 1960 Buick named “Lectrafied” and it won the 2016 Grand National Roadster Show. When you ask Keith which of the cars he’s designed are his favorites you’ll hear him say, “My next design...”.

Joel Clark is an automotive artist who has had a career in the creative field since graduating from Central St. Martins in 1996. In the depths of the last recession he picked up a paintbrush and started creating. He works in a medium combining hand cut vinyl graphics in a collage form creating sculptures. His mix of bold, graphic colors result in a hand-crafted look creating a hyper-realism Pop Art style that transforms real objects, including vehicle parts, in to pieces that become surreal. His art invites the viewer to create their own narrative – such as “Where is the car and what is it doing there?”

Dick Ruzzin was an automobile designer and Director of Design for General Motors of Europe and Chevrolet, when he retired. He owns the only Corvette powered De Tomaso Mangusta built at the factory. During his career Dick worked on over 140 car design programs including the Opel Maxx, the inspiration for the Swatch Car. During his career he also created car design exhibits, automotive shows, design awards for NAIAS, furniture, Christmas parade floats, graphics for the Americas Cup and the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. Since retiring he has written the book about the De Tomaso Mangusta, titled Bella Mangusta, penned magazine articles, and works in education as a mentor for design students.

Gautam Sen is acknowledges as India’s leading automotive journalist and writer. He has written several critically acclaimed books on automobiles and his latest is titled Marcello Gandini: Maestro of Design. Peter Kumar is the Founder of Gullwing Motor Cars located New York. Born and raised in India, he worked as a young man in an auto parts store where his fascination with cars began. He opened his first car dealership in Miami, Florida and in 1988 he moved it to New York. At Gullwing Motor Cars Peter and his talented team buy and sell the finest collectible motorcars focusing mostly on European marques. Peter travels the world looking for the perfect vehicles for his clients and instead of consigning cars he owns his inventory. John Rafert has had many jobs over his 70 plus years. A bartender, copy boy, teacher, owned businesses, an X-Ray tech, and worked in a level 1 trauma center, and a professor of radiologic sciences. Peter Vincent is an artist, author, and photographer who’s been working with the landscape at the Bonneville Salt Flats for over 20 years, and 40 years of Photographic Art, combining it with the Sub-Culture of Land Speed Racing and the Pop-Culture of the American Hot Rod. He’s a regular on the salt every August for “Speed Week” and never misses this gathering, ever. He’s published numerous books on the automobile and his work has been displayed in museums across the country including many permanent collections. His fourth book, The Bonneville Salt Flats, 20 Years of Photography was released in the fall of 2013. Peter’s fifth book, The Rolling Bones is now available. His images have been published in many magazine including The Rodder’s Journal, Hop Up, Hot Rod and American Rodder. Anna-Louise Felstead is a fine artist who lives in London. She graduated from the Royal College of Art having received first class honors from Central Saint Martins. She is regarded at a reportage artist as her work is often created on location. While she paints a wide variety of subjects many of her pieces are transportation related including modern racing cars. In 2005 she was commissioned by the Ministry of Defense to paint their aircraft carriers, harrier jump jets, and helicopters. You’ve seen her in the pits at Laguna Seca during the historic races, on the lawn at Pebble Beach, at the Nürburgring, Goodwood, Monza, and Spa.

Brock Yates Jr. is the son of one of America’s best-known automotive journalists and growing up around cars and racing was his life. He played at Watkins Glen while his father raced, he apprenticed with race car builder Ron Nash and he’s a veteran of the first Cannonball Sea-to-Shining-Sea memorial Trophy Dash as a 14 year old in 1071, his destiny was cast. Brock’s run the one Lap of America, the La Carrera Classico, the Silver State Classic Challenge, and SCCA Showroom Stock, plus numerous other racing adventures. In 2009 he took over the Tire Rack One Lap of America and he teaches for Driving Dynamics, a company that specializes in instructing the pharmaceutical industry drivers to make them safer on the road.

Uwe Mansshardt is a professional stunt driver who lives in Hamberg, Germany. It all started when he was 14 while on a trip to Italy when he witnessed new Ferrari’s being tested and the hook was set. He worked as a stuntman in movies at the German Warner Bros. Movie World. That set the course toward training at Rick Seaman’s Hollywood Stunt Driver’s School in L.A. and from there he earned his FIA racing license at Zackspeed Driving Academy at the Nürburging. Today Uwe drives in commercials for Porsche, Mercedes, McLaren, and he’s even been a stunt driving double for Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard.

Craig Watkins grew up in San Francisco and at the age of six started karting around his parents property. That morphed in to dune buggies and Baja Bugs. His college degree and career was in manufacturing engineering. Craig first raced in the SCORE off road racing series throughout the 80s with Greg Aronson winning 8 races in 42 starts in class 10. He club raced his 1973 Porsche 911 and that lead to an engineering position with Porsche 996 GT3 Cup cars and then he joined team Flying Lizard Motorsports where he was the chief engineer. It was there he met Roland Kussmaul, the Porsche factory racing engineer who was in charge of the GT3 product line. This lead to Craig’s first book Kussmaul Chronicles, The Story of Roland Kussmaul’s Contributions To Porsche’s Total Crushing Domination.

George Saitas is a photographer who specializes in automotive studio and location photography with an emphasis on classic and exotic cars. His favorite projects are commissions where he creates unique, one-of-one single-print, collectable images. He uses photography to create a story and one technique is using psychological layering in his images that act as time bombs in the viewer’s unconscious. He studied mechanical and fotografical engineering in school and switched to visual communications where he found his passion. He also loves to teach, helping to design and teach courses for other engineers. In 2015, Bentley Publishers published his first book, Physics for Gearheads. It combines both of his passions, explaining the physics that really makes cars tick. It is a book he wishes he’d had when he was a teenager. Randy received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, and currently holds four patents.

He is a founding member of the International Council of Motorsport Sciences, a board member of the Stand 21 “Racing Goes Safer” Foundation, and in 2007 was inducted into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame – in recognition of his innovative, state-of-the-art training strategies and the impact he has had on the sport.

Alex Martin-Banzer was barely a year out of the womb before she attended the Mille Miglia in Italy. Her father is the publisher of Sports Car Market Magazine and host on TV’s What’s My Car Worth. Alex’s life around cars has been non-stop. She learned to shift at 10 years old in a VW Thing and from there double clutching in a Mini Cooper. The classic car hobby has taken her all over the world and provided opportunities to drive on tours, judge at concours events, orchestrate press launches for new sports cars and more. At that time he was a full-time professional photographer and needed a way to supplement his passion for cars. He ran his own advertising photo studio and also worked in the broadcast television business, however cars remained his passion. In 1990 he pivoted to a full time automotive business specializing in exporting Aston Martins to the UK. He acquired a Lotus franchise in 1991 and an Aston Martin franchise in 1996. Stephen has written for Sports Car Market magazine for over 20 years, and he’s helped Hagerty Insurance and SCM with their price guides. Richard Truesdell is an automotive photographer and journalist. He produces the Automotive Traveler magazine and Legendary Cougar Magazine. His early entrepreneurial career included owning and operating a car stereo store. He began writing audio reviews for publications including Car and Driver, Autotronics, and Motor Trend. He became the editor of Car Audio and Electronics at Primedia and from there left to become a freelance contributing writer to dozens of automotive magazines. Today Richard is working on a quarterly replacement for Motor Trend Classic planned for a launch later this year.

Scott Speed is a former Formula One Driver and today is the defending Global Rallycross champion. He was the first American in Formula One since Michael Andretti when he joined Scuderia Toro Rosso during the 2006, 2007 seasons. He returned to the United States to race NASCAR and started his Rallycross career in 2013 with a win in his X Games debut in Brazil. In 2014 Scott joined the Volkswagen factory Andretti Rallycross Team and won the title in 2015 with a record eight podiums in 12 rounds. Scott is also an ambassador for the new SEGA game Motorsport Manager, an exciting video game for PC and Mac platforms.

Doug Pray is the President of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Company in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. There they supply the world with parts for the iconic marques as well as restoring Auburns and Cords. It’s a company his father purchased in 1960, moving it from Auburn, Indiana in to an abandoned pickle factory in Oklahoma. Doug worked in his father’s business when he was 14 in the 60s and stayed until the company closed in 1981. Being an entrepreneur Doug brought it back to life. He has drilled oil wells, owned a drive-in restaurant, started a chrome plating business, ran a successful business restoring, exhibiting, and selling antique gas pumps. In 1997 Doug made a u-turn and became a Chiropractor starting a successful clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

RJ Valentine discovered a way to combine his passion for automobiles and racing in to his business. He’s raced for over 40 years with over 400 pro starts including the Trans Am Series. He’s won the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, driven for PTG Motorsports, and competed in the Grand-Am GT series. A lifetime entrepreneur, he founded the MBA Group in 1969 and one of their many successes was the Jiffy Lube franchise and Lo-Jack Car Security Systems. In 2000 he opened F1 Boston, a European-style indoor kart racetrack and then an outdoor track in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. His Safety Systems created a new barrier system for racetracks and today he’s opened New Jersey Motorsports Park and a trackside Exotics Car Garages.

Filippo Perini is the Head of Design at Italdesign in Italy. Italdesign is a world leader in the provision of development services for the automotive industry. Born in 1965 Filippo worked as a freelance designer for Alfa Romeo, Fiat Auto, and Aprilia as a consultant for the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations. In 1995 he joined the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile and in 2001 he was appointed Director of Exterior Design of Alfa Romeo. He worked on the Alfa 159, 147, and 8C Competizione concept car. He was the Senior Exterior Designer at Audi and at Lamborghini he was the Head of Exterior Design. From 2006 to 2015 Filippo managed many successful projects as Director of the Automobili Lamborghini Centro Stile before his current role at Italdesign.

Paolo Feraboli is the Founder and Director of Automobili Lamborghini Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory (ACSL) in Seattle, Washington. He and his team are responsible for the development of new CFRP technologies and structure/chassis concepts for Lamborghini. Paolo is also the Founder and CEO of Gemini Composites, a design firm focused on product development, including design, analysis, testing, and manufacturing components for the automotive and numerous other industries. Since 2013 Dr. Feraboli is also a Research Professor at the Nagoya Institute of Technology in Japan. He is the recipient of the 2010 Young Investigator Award for Composite Materials and the founding Chair of the CMH-17 Working Group on Crashworthiness.

Ken Okuyama is the CEO of Ken Okuyama Design in Yamagata, Japan. Ken was the Chief Design Director for General Motors, a Senior Designer for Porsche AG, and the Design Director for Pinifarina. Among his many automotive designs are the Ferrari Enzo and Maserati Quattroporte. He’s designed numerous projects including motorcycles, Furniture, robots, and architecture. In 2007 he founded his company where he and his team provide design consulting to companies around the globe in numerous industries. They also design and produce limited production automobiles, eyewear, and interior products under the Ken Okuyama brand. Ken is currently director of Yanmar Holdings Company Limited, he’s authored many books and he is a visiting professor at several universities.

Renzo Porro lives in Italy and he is a mechanical engineer whose 38 year career at Fiat included testing, design, research, and sales. He was involved in many of their successful models including the Fiat 128, X19, 124, Uno, Ducato, Lancia Delta and Thema, and the Alfa Romeo 156. His last post at Fiat was as their deputy Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of After Sales Services. Upon retiring he’s worked as a consultant for Sumitomo Electrics of Japan and TRW here in the United States. Renzo also founded three engineering companies that design automobile parts. One of his passions is sailing and he wrote a book on sailing techniques that is considered a must-read for those who love to sail.

Doug Herbert is a nationally recognized top fuel drag racing champion. He is the first driver to run over 300 MPH during NHRA eliminations, and his career best speed tops 330 MPH. But in 2008 Doug put his racing career aside when he lost his two young sons, Jon and James, in a tragic car crash. After experiencing a tremendous amount of loss and grief, Doug decided to create a free driving program that teaches advanced safe driving techniques, and founded B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe), a non-profit 501(c)(3) Teen Pro-Active Defensive Driving Program. For over 8 years Doug and B.R.A.K.E.S. have been traveling to various US cities to help prevent injuries and save lives by training and educating teenage drivers and their parents.

Born in 1954, Peter Larsen has been a life long gearhead. He lives in Copenhagen and is currently writing on a book about Joseph Figoni. He serves as a Pebble Beach class judge and he also judges at the Concours d’Elegance at Chantilly outside Paris and at Schloss Dyck in Germany. Peter has a wide taste in cars, having owned automobiles as varied as a Bizzarrini, Facel-Vega, Duesenberg Model J and a number of Maseratis, including two Ghiblis and a 5000GT. His enduring fascination has been with French cars in general and Talbot-Lago in particular, including ownership of two T26 Grand Sports. He and Ben Erickson co-authored the book Talbot-Lago Grand Sport: The Car from Paris and Jacques Saoutchik – Maître Carrossier.

Wade Kawasaki is the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Coker Group, overseeing twelve Coker Group brands and six operating companies. The Coker Group is a family of brands that includes The Coker Tire Company and many other companies offering products in the automotive marketplace. Wade is also the Founder and CEO of Exports International, an exports management company specializing in wholesale distribution of American made automotive specialty aftermarket products. He is also the Chair-Elect for SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association Board of Directors and will become their Chairman in 2017.

Sam Moses is a journalist and author who began writing as a seaman apprentice on a Navy cruiser in the South China Sea. Two days after his discharge he was on the Isle of Man writing about motorcycles. He filed race reports from the Mojave Desert which landed him a job as Motorsports Writer for Sports Illustrated for 18 years. He began racing in 1965 at Watkins Glen on a motorcycles and today he runs in vintage events in his Oldsmobile Cutlass, the “Skoll Bandit”, the same racecar in his book Fast Guys Rich Guys And Idiots , originally released in 1985, which he recently remastered for release. I caught up with Sam at the Pacific Northwest Historic races where I enjoyed watching him mix it up on the track.

Vic Elford and Ronnie Peterson drove for his F1 Team in 1969 and 1970 in a Cooper T86 and a McLaren M7B and a March 701. In the 1960s Colin ran a mail order business, The Complete Automobilist, that supplied hard-to-find parts. He was the last of the serious privateers in Formula One and has spent his life traveling the world, tracking down, restoring, and racings some the rarest, fastest cars ever made. His book, Colin Crabbe: Thrill of the Chase is an autobiography of his exciting life around racing and automobiles.
