His tally of classic long-distance victories included the Targa Florio, Daytona 24 Hours (three times), Sebring 12 Hours twice, Nürburgring 1000Km twice, and at the Spa 1000Km four times. He won four long –distance road racing team championships and five individual road-racing championships, the list goes on and on and on.
