Cars Yeah with Mark Greene

Peter Hageman is the chief judge for the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance. He inherited his love of vintage cars from his father, acquiring his first car, a 1927 Packard, when he was just thirteen years old. He has been a regional Chairman of the Bentley Driver’s Club and a judge at numerous concours events around the world. Peter was on the forefront of the now popular preservation class concept in automotive collecting and he serves on the selection committee and is the Chief Class Judge in the Preservation Class at the Pebble Beach Concours. He is one of the Founders of the Kirkland Concours, sits on the advisory committee at the LeMay Museum, and he attends events all over the globe including concours, rallies, and tours. His son Paul is a past guest here on Cars Yeah.

Art Smith has been in the automotive business since 1986. He spent time with Volkswagen and Lexus and the last 13 years at Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo, North America’s oldest Ferrari dealer located in Portland Oregon. Now retired, he refuses to leave the world of automobiles and now cares for the late Ron Tonkin’s collection of over 50 cars, 25 of which are Ferraris including his first, a 1967 330GTS, 4 super cars, a 288 GTO, an F40, F50, an Enzo, Daytona Coupe, and a Spider not to forget a 1953 212 Vignale. The Ron Tonkin legacy includes their sponsorship of the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance that takes place every July on the Pacific University campus east of Portland, Oregon.

Eric Peterson is an entrepreneur, a father, and car collector in Portland, Oregon. Along with his wife Eric has built a small collection of mostly European sports cars. The Peterson’s founded Dream Drives for Kids and they use their cars to bring joy to children who are currently undergoing treatment for a variety of childhood illnesses. Their goal is to provide children with joy by taking the focus off of doctors and disease and putting it on Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Mercedes, and more. César Pieri who was born in Brazil is heavily influences by his Italian family heritage and culture. While his career has contributed to being able to live around the globe his heart belongs to Lucca (Tuscany). He takes a multicultural approach to his passion and career in the automotive profession and lifestyle. He has been a professional automotive designer for over 13 years and currently spends a majority of his time in England as the Creative Design Manager at Jaguar’s Advanced Design Studio. Additionally César enjoys drawing and painting. One of his unique approaches to painting is to use the actual hoods of automobiles as a canvas that then become wall hangings in homes, garages, and galleries.

Pete Aylett is the great-grandson of a London carriage maker. He had a 25 year career as an automotive design engineer with British, German, American, and Japanese car companies. He worked for Ford and Lotus in England, Mercedes in Stuttgart, GM in Detroit, Nissan, and Mazda at the advanced design studios in California. Thirteen years ago he founded his own company:  Car Art, Inc. - selling art by renowned car designers, fine artists, and photographers.  Today, he represents 80 artists from 20 countries in the world’s largest online car art gallery, with 1,300 artworks of 130 different marques.  Peter is a member of the Motor Press Guild and a past member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Industrial Designers Society of America.

Louise Noeth is a storyteller known for taking complicated subjects and making them entertaining and educational. She founded LandSpeed Productions in 1984 where she provides film and TV consulting, photography, writing, graphic design, and more. Her award-winning works have been published around the world. Dubbed LandSpeed Louise she concentrates on land speed racing and people who do extraordinary feats by designing, building, and driving fast cars, trucks, and motorcycles. She’s one of the few women journalists in the automotive field who’s also comfortable and competent behind the wheel.
